Who is Bolton working for when he supports the TSA atrocity?
Ya know, I've tried to put myself in their shoes and I really can't see myself supporting an action like that if it helped my "home state". I had a conservative Republican Senator a couple years back, and if someone had told me "Hey, Senator Fitzgerald is gonna kill a conservative nominee's chances of getting appointed, but in exchange, Illinois gets to keep a military base we're not using!", I don't think I'd be OKAY with it. And to those "Republicans" who would, I question their priorities.
I could also easily name a dozen times Thune took the wrong side on an issue, and it wasn't because his constituents stood to gain for it. He's been on the wrong side of numerous spending and bailout bills, as well as endorsements. Look at Chris Christie is getting bashed nonstop because he endorsed ONE RINO (namely Mike Castle). Thune has probably endorsed a dozen RINOs in primary elections (Murkowski, Kirk, McCain, etc.). Does that benefit North Dakota? Seems the only people he's benefiting are beltway insiders cozy with the status quo.

Homeland Security. TSA is a recently created federal agency wholly the justriction of the Dept. of Homeland Security. Now, I certainly don't agree with all of Homeland Security's recommendations on what must be done in the interests of national security, but nevertheless, that's who Bolton is arguing for.
Thune’s actions were indefensible. BRAC was created to avoid nonsense like that. Military bases do not exist to provide jobs for Senator so and so’s constituents, they exist to protect the country.
Bolton’s position of TSA is also not cool.
