MSNBCs Keith Olberman came out against the Presidents compromise tax package calling it fundamentally wrong and misguided.
What are the rich going to do with the taxes they dont have to pay? Olberman asked. Theyre not going to spend it. Theyve already got more than they can spend. Theyre probably going to put it into stocks and bonds. This doesnt help the economy at all.
Its unemployment compensation that really drives the economy, Olberman contended. Virtually every dollar we pump into unemployment benefits is spentgenerating income for vendors of goods and services throughout the economy. We need to get more people on unemployment for longer periods if we want to get out of this recession. So heres my pitch: make the benefits permanent and make people who quit their jobs eligible. As more people receive and spend unemployment benefits the stimulation of the economy will be profound.

This guy must have been hit on the head with a stupid stick when he was very young.
You sure this one’s satire, ‘cause it sure sounds like something he’d think up?
Its unemployment compensation that really drives the economy,
LOL! What a maroon. So if everybody in America was unemployed and receiving unemployment checks we’d be the richest country in world!
Results workers lost their jobs.
Result Clinton repealed the tax.
Great job, John, of taking the concept of unemployment benefits having positive economic effect to its logical conclusion.
I think that his mom must have suffered a severe shock when pregnant with him.
Oops. Satire. Works though cause Olberdummy really is that stupid.
This has to be his oral orfice doing the talking, his rectal orfice has a great deal more native good sense.
The sphere of all-encompassing stupidity can expand to truly infinite proportions, as it is completely impervious to any intelligent discussion.
Keith Olbermann is a closet racist, taking such a critical view of the President. After all, isn’t ANY criticism of the charismatic leader of the peoples racist at its core?
I’m sure you heard McDermott,”Just how much money do people need, how much is enough?”(as close as I recall) on FOX this am. Satire must be getting increasingly difficult. Yours is great as usual.
Hey gubmint, give me more money. I promise I will spend it.
I just had a thought. Maybe MSNBC should cut Oysterman’s salary back to the level where he would spend it all. That should make both of them very happy.
Don’t think it is possible to satirize Olberman, there is nothing too strange to say that he wouldn’t say.
No, I think she tried to abort him and it failed.
Presidents can't add or repeal a tax. Only Congress (initiated in the House) can do that.
Lincoln or Twain?
100% unemployment will be Nirvana. Psyche! But I do look forward to Olberfagg joining the ranks of the prosperous non-working.
