Morning Joe Scarboroughs scathing piece on Sarah Palin in Politico, rather than discouraging a run by Palin for President in 2012, may have convinced more conservatives she should run.
Joe Scarboroughs stated concerns include how Palin drew a comparison between the disparagement of her and Ronald Reagan, which is a fair assessment by Palin, and her polite but firm retort to former First Lady Barbara Bushs comment that Palin should stay in Alaska.
Sarah Palin is the Republican it girl right now because she yields no ground to establishment types, bluebloods, political consultants, media elites and all those who contributed to the political and moral deterioration of the Republican Party.
Palin was ahead of the curve in taking on the GOP establishment, which is why she is a Tea Party favorite. She is now what Ronald Reagan said in 1976 we needed in our leaders: those who are unfettered by old ties and old relationships.
If Palin were to run, even if she didnt win she would unquestionably transform the GOP primary for the better. Her mere force of presence would require Republican contestants to address issues they otherwise wouldnt -- in ways they otherwise wouldnt.
In a time when the GOP teeters between returning to its constitutional small-government roots and remaining the party of Democrat-lite, Palin has a confluence of several appeals that most other prospective GOP candidates lack. Add to that her Tea Party credentials, and shes hands-down a bigger big-tent prospective candidate than Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty, Newt Gingrich and others frequently named.
Most importantly, Palin is a boat rocker who isnt afraid to say the Republican Party needs to move in a direction it hasnt even debated in over a decade, and actually shrink the size of the federal government.
The best thing for the GOP may be a presidential primary field that includes not only Palin, but Jim DeMint, Mike Pence and one or two other conservatives who dont toe the establishment GOP line.
Ronald Reagans biggest initial obstacles came from within the Republican Party itself. He didnt become the transformational figure in the GOP we now know him to be based his first run for the presidency.
Reagans ability to lead by identifying issues of importance to people was remarkably similar to Sarah Palins. Those attempting to tear her down may be kicking up more than they bargain for.
Richard A. Viguerie is the Chairman of ConservativeHQ.
Right and she has absolutely no ties to that cesspool.
Oh, then it was a recent CSPAN airing?
Completely agree, well said!
Maybe he’s making a list and checking it twice...
LOL. Then Christmas can’t come soon enough!
Yes with in the last couple of months.
Good night all.
Yes, and the longer she can stay insulated from them, the better. I hope a Palin cabinet would be comprised of committed able citizens from outside the beltway. People who aren’t used to doing things they way they’ve always been done. We need a radical paradigm shift in the way that place operates.
Good night to you too.
Exactly right!
I remember when Rush sort of kiddingly said, that he'd work for the paltry salary in the right administration (maybe he mentioned hers by name) and wouldn't it beat all if Rush were her press secretary for the first year? LOL. Liberal heads exploding and hopefully exiting the USA.
this article is much more interesting for those who know who Viguerie is.
LOL, Rush as press secretary? The media would be in a tizzy every day trying to stir up controversies. The Democrats would have a collective stroke!
And I think Rush would do it!
Yes, you’re right, most certainly.
You nailed it. Go Sarah!
He wouldn't like the pay cut...he's addressed similar sentiments before...would be awesome to see, though...
Oops...didn’t see #51.
Great post.
You can be sure of that.
Its up to her to decide whether she should alter her colloquial methods and go over to statesman speak.
You gotta remember , she is sittin' there in Beck's studio bein' just who she is, a self made American, born without a silver spoon in her mouth, just like we need. This is no time to have insecure penchants because of elitists who sound good and say only what everyone wants to hear. We are far too used to that.
Could she stare down the North Koreans?
" You Betcha!"
Not only that, she would lay a hurtin' on 'em if they pushed like they just have. She would not call the UN. Thats good enough for me. " Stand with our Allies!"( But Obama , you see wants to redefine and revise history, milions will die as a result, Sarah will not allow it in her goodness.)
I think what she says is great, and I love the way she says it.I certainly won't become an apologist for her quality of speech.LOL. But then, I came up through an environment just like hers, with deer and moose hangin' in the wood shed every fall, pickin' fiddle heads , strawberries, blue berries, raspberries and cranberries, fishing for salmon. That's another world from what most Americans know. And it is a good world. That's what her speech quality reminds me about.Sophisticated America has lost touch with the strength of our land, that good earth beneath our feet. That's part of sophisticated America's burgeoning malaise. It is that strength that makes Sarah Palin almost invulnerable.
She is exactly what priggish, overly sophisticated America needs. And that is why the liberal fascists are scared to death of her. Sarah Palin is just not sophisticated enough for them to destroy her. Sophistication equals attack-ability. They can't get a handle on her and so resort to desperate measures of lying, misquoting, scurrilous attacks on her children. She just breezes right through them.Do you get that part? I think its a riot of mal-attempted defamation. No conservative should fall for it.
This attempted defamatory process is also highly entertaining and most Americans actually have evolved to really love her after being entertained. The more she is attacked, the more her support grows.
The enemies of America have a tremendously skilled and effective adversary in Sarah Palin. If she aces liberal fascists like she has shown us , can you imagine how she would handle bad boys like Kim Jong Un? I would pay to see that. As a matter of fact, I WILL PAY to see that, as much as I can afford to, right into Governor Palin's campaign fund.(I may work for her campaign directly, the resume is in.)
BTW, other rustic figures of America where denigrated in the same way as Sarah is today.. There were several, but Congressman David Crockett comes to mind. How many of us think he would NOT have made a good president? Its really laughable. He would have made a fine president. So will Governor Palin.
