Really, we are melting down financially and have 15% unemployment and the only issue America cares about is an obscure Oceans Treaty. Then you finish by calling her McCain, pretty weak argument.

That little UN oceans treaty comes to a vote every couple years. US sovereignty used to be important to conservatives. I guess it isn’t anymore. So who cares?
I would choose Barbour or DeMint or Pence. They have never been for Cap and Trade. All of them kind of stink on amnesty, including Palin.

Really, hundreds of times. So you have to get your ping list of thugs to argue your weak arguments to stop these hundreds of argumnets. Must have missed something since all I am seeing is reasons why she will scare off all the moderates w/her extreme positions. So which is it?

Look, I am a realist, not a Stalinist. I despise Obama. I want whoever it is that is honest about their record.

They may have no room to talk, but at least people know them.
When McCain chose Palin, she was an unknown commodity. He chose her, I think, in late August. She was sold as conservative. She is socially conservative. That is what he was looking for. Other than that, her record was a lot like him, she is a hell of a lot prettier than him too. Plus she was known as a maverick.
Palin is far from stupid. She does know how to connect with people. She saw what could sell. If she is going to connect, she at least needs to be honest about her record. She really is not all that conservative.
If you take notice, the GOP establishment does not pick on Palin or her record as Governor. Why is that? They don't because they don't have a problem with that.
If Palin ends up our nominee I will vote for her. Thats the most zeal I have for her. Once a candidate is picked in the primaries, I will vote against Obama.

To be sure, if they are not for Palin, it does my old heart good - because, as I would expect, they have not been moved to compromise the principles that they have stood upon as long as I have known them.

I don’t think it was really “whining.” I was, however, scratching my head at some of the descriptions. “Conservative Country Clubbers” is an oxymoron. And what about Eisenhower as a candidate was not serious?
What the commentary does do is try to attribute a whole slew of things to Palin that I have never heard her affirm and introduces a bunch of irrelevant mumbo-jumbo that hardly qualify as criteria for evaluating presidential candidates (IMO.) So, in that, I agree with you that it is past time that she announce that she is running and make public exactly what her positions are. Then we will have something to discuss. As it is, all we really have is her past record and statements which, in many important areas, directly conflict with the caricature that her supporters are trying to paint.
And Bray — I am not a Stalinist, nor anti-Palin. Your insults strewn at some imaginary big-bad-enemy-group-of-freepers only undermines what credibility you may have.

Our next President must NOT be a NWO/CFRer.
And, as a FIRST priority, our next President must IMMEDIATELY and EFFECTIVELY secure our borders and MUST NOT support ‘path-to-citizenship’ amnesty.

As a Conservative writer in Portland OR I have seen this thug tactic plenty of times before. I am happy to debate issues but when someone comes in w/a Ping list of thugs I call that a call to war and will respond accordingly. I have seen this Thug tactic plenty of times and will call it exactly what it is.
