Philadelphia, PA Thanksgiving travelers opted out of commercial air travel in large numbers across the country on Opt Out Day as reports came in of eerily quiet airports, shorter than usual security lines, swamped bus and train stations and 94 per cent of travelers opting to drive instead of fly.
We Wont Fly has received multiple reports of the federal governments Transportation Security Administration (TSA) shutting down full body scanners, selecting fewer people for secondary screening, using less invasive patdowns and being unusually friendly and helpful to flyers.

He, as my tagline says, really isn't one of us.
This must be done away with completely.
I’ll confirm this. Wednesday night I commuted home from IAD to BOS and the plane was not full. This was the first time in many months this flight was not full. I commuted back to work today at 2:00 p.m. , and that flight was about 80% full. It is very quite in the airport tonight.
Drive, take a train, fly on a private airplane, or even use a pogo stick to get there, but don’t fly. When the airlines realize they are losing major business because of Obama the airlines will have a talk with him and his regime.
Holy bill of rights, Batman! It seems that Obama has failed....... AGAIN!
The problem is that Obama doesn’t care. It’s another industry he has ruined and more people unemployed.
It fits right in with his plan to destroy America.
Auto’s? Oil drilling in the Gulf? Planes? Whats next on the Obama hit list?
“Gropenmeister”! LOL.
Thanks for the laugh Frank!
To hear the news tell it everything was normal and lovely over the holiday. No lines, no backups and no delays for security.
Could it be because nobody that had any other alternative didn’t fly?
I wonder?
I cancelled a trip rather than fly. I also changed my Christmas plans to a place that I could reach by driving rather than by flying.
I’m a frequent flyer and take long-distance flights. But not any more. If I don’t absolutely have to fly to get somewhere, I’m not going to do so until this insanity stops.
What Obama is doing is called “agitprop”
A lot of people decided not to fly. Even the bread-and-butter business travelers bailed in the past few weeks.
Maybe there will be some real cheap air fares in the next few weeks.
Lots of people didn’t fly that is,they either stayed home or used a different mode of travel. While TSA suspended their new rules, temporarily, to avoid negative publicity.
If these enhanced procedures are so necessary to our safety why were they suspended for this holiday? Is it OK to endanger the public for the sake of expediency?
“”Whats next on the Obama hit list?””
Don’t forget health insurance companies? That’s been the objective all along....
Do not plan on flying any time in the near future (if at all).
