I assume that you were particularly outraged by the headline there as I was when I stumbled upon it, so I will cut right to it.  Check out this story uncovered by the Daily Beast.

"Developers of the controversial Park51 Islamic community center and mosque located two blocks from ground zero earlier this month applied for roughly $5 million in federal grant money set aside for the redevelopment of lower Manhattan after the attacks of September 11, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the matter."

Read the full story here... and yes, its just as ridiculous as it sounds.  If you thought this was a dead issue... think again.  Round two stands to be ten times as tumultuous once this story gathers momentum.

I thought their claim was that the mosque was far enough away as not to be considered part of Ground Zero? Yet they want the grant money set aside to rebuild ground zero? Screw that! I heard some talk jock on AM radio ask WHY shouldn’t they
get this money? My response would be —slay them wherever you find them ,or else bind them head and foot and if they subject to pay the poor rate/ ransom until the war is over it is allahs will.
