JFK - The Assassination - 47 Years Later
The Radio Patriot ^ | Nov. 22, 2010 | Andrea Shea King

Posted on 11/22/2010 10:59:49 AM PST by patriotgal1787

What really happened that day in Dealey Plaza? We’ll never know for sure.  At least not until Sept. 14, 2038, and even then we aren’t assured that the records will be genuine, tampered with or truthful.  And despite the Warren Commission's official report, why can't Americans see the records until that date?  What’s being hidden?  Who’s being protected?  And why is it that today -- the 47th anniversary of the most controversial event in our nation's history, John F. Kennedy's assassination is ignored by the lamestream media?

The murder of JFK is probably the subject of the most conjecture in our lifetime, on a par with the mysterious circumstances of Obama’s birth and background.  JFK’s death is the most fascinating murder in the history of our nation, fraught with intrigue and theories.

Four years ago while hosting an afternoon drive radio program, I interviewed Dr. Cyril Wecht, MD, JD,  forensic pathologist and author of the 1993 book Cause of Death, who testified in 1978 before the House Select Committee on Assassinations.  Dr. Wecht has never believed that Lee Harvey Oswald was the shooter who took Kennedy’s life 47 years ago today.  And in painstaking detail, he laid out his case to the House Committee.  The Committee's report ultimately opened the door to the possibility that the shooting was the result of a conspiracy, a successfully executed coup d'etat.

The Committee believes, on the basis of the evidence available to it, that President John F. Kennedy was probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy.  The committee is unable to identify the other gunman or the extent of the conspiracy.
Tonight, Monday, Nov. 22nd, the 47th Anniversary of the day that rocked the world, we’ll talk to Dr. Cyril Wecht — again — on my radio program, where he'll tell us why he believes it was impossible for Oswald to have been the shooter. Listen in and decide for yourself...

Because they were looking for a conspiracy...and the evidence which they say proves a conspiracy has been throughly discredited...

Actually, they were really wasn’t a “more secure” vehicle...SSX100—or “Queen Mary” wasn’t bullet proof...none of the tops were bulletproof, and Kennedy had been riding around in an open limousine throughout his entire administration...see the pics The Kennedy Detail...

I’m not interested in Jeff Rense’s site. That twit was thrown off FreeRepublic ages ago. People posting shit from Rense.com also usually quickly find they get the boogerhook off of FR. Just so you know, new poster.

“What really happened that day in Dealey Plaza?”

Well, I dunno, but I like to believe the theory that Oswald was after Connally because Connally wouldn't help Oswald upgrade his discharge so he'd be eligible for vet's bennies. In other words, Kennedy was shot by mistake. The cover-up, if any, is that it was better for Kennedy to go down in history as a martyr rather than as some poor schmuck who was taken out by a lousy marksman.

(As it happened, a few months earlier, I had bought a similar Carcano rifle from the same mail order dealer. The scope that came with it was a piece of crap with a small field of view, plus a bolt handle too far forward of the trigger guard to enable fast follow-up shots. If you want to get off a bunch of rounds with such a set-up, you ain't gonna be too careful of your aim. When I saw that Oswald had used the same gun, I has a WTF? moment.)

You had my attention until you mentioned that you still like the notion that some Secret Service agent accidentally killed President Kennedy with an early AR15 rifle.

It accounts for the ballistic and wound evidence, and doesn't require outlandish conspiracies under every bush.

And accidents happen, especially when weapons are involved.

I point out again, this is Real Life™ we are talking about here; not cinema, which is usually mistaken for it by image-besotted children of modern times.

I do wish that agent had managed to remove a couple of LHO's front teeth with the thing. It would have made for a different world, imho.

Well, considering that nobody in Dealey Plaza saw the Secret Service agent accidentally blow the President’s head off, including presumably the other agents in the car who might have wondered “Why did you just fire a round off over my head and kill the President?” and then curiously shut their mouths about it forever, the only other solution is to regard the testimony of the people who heard the shots from the 6th floor windows of the TSBD and saw Oswald shooting with their own eyes.

I am sure you are correct.

(my it’s been a long time). I think the original issue was not the safety of the vehicle, but that he shouldn’t even visit Texas and tour around the streets in an open vehicle.

...the only other solution is to regard the testimony of the people who heard the shots from the 6th floor windows of the TSBD and saw Oswald shooting with their own eyes.

Howard Donohue did not claim that Oswald didn't shoot Kennedy. His analysis showed only that the head shot did not come from the TSBD, and that it was made by different ammunition from what Oswald was using.

Eyewitnesses saw and remembered lots of things about that day, some of it contradictory. This is also Real Life™. Donohue's theory mainly rests on those things which we know independent of the eyewitnesses. This is its main strength.

Just in case you missed it, Oswald did it; Oswald was acting alone (he never acted any other way!) The head shot was an accident; it actually changed nothing, since Kennedy would not have survived the neck shot.

I read Mortal Error years ago, and was impressed by Donahue’s evidence and reasoning. I have since read that his theory has been disproven by a recently-discovered photo that shows the trailing Secret Service car after Oswald’s first shot. Unfortunately, I don’t have a source for the claim. Have you heard anything about this?
