When I went to the airport today, I was put in the uncomfortable position of a so-called “naked” full-body scan. Today’s experience was very different from the last flight I made, nearly two weeks ago; at that time I only had to go through a magnetometer. Today there was no option — it was either the full-body scan, a humiliating pat-down or no flight. All passengers flying out of Washington, DC were subjected to the new procedures. So, like confused cattle, our uneasy line of air travelers was herded through the machine.
But my experience today was nothing compared to that of Thomas D. “Tom” Sawyer, a 61-year-old retired special education teacher from Lansing, Michigan. Sawyer was reportedly on his way to a wedding in Orlando when his medical condition caught the special attention of security.
As a survivor of bladder cancer, Sawyer wears his pants two sizes to large to accommodate medical equipment he must now wear. “I have to wear special clothes and in order to mount the [urostomy] bag I have to seal a wafer to my stomach and then attach the bag. If the seal is broken, urine can leak all over my body and clothes,” he recounted to MSNBC.
On Nov. 7, Sawyer said he went through the security checkpoint at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. “Evidently the scanner picked up on my urostomy bag, because I was chosen for a pat-down procedure,” he said. Because of his medical condition, Sawyer says he asked to be screened in private. “One officer looked at another, rolled his eyes and said that they really didn’t have any place to take me,” said Sawyer. “After I said again that I’d like privacy, they took me to an office.”

All of these horror stories are going to drive people away from the airlines by the droves. When the bottom line starts to be affected the airlines will start screaming and then you will see a big change.
On Greta last week, she had as a guest a female rep of the enemy CAIR, who smugly said muslim women should do a self-pat-down. She appeared to be an American born muzzie idiot. I kept wondering why if she loved muslim law so much, she didn’t just go subject herself to an actual muslim state (Hussein said there are 57 of them) and see if her makeup, and bold attidude might get her buried up to her neck and stoned to death. But it appears that her love of islam is more comfortable here in the USA where PC idiots in our gov’t bow to islam and persecute Christians.
Seems there is another agenda.
I will be flying with my 94 yr old dad on Dec 12. I think I may just have an accident if I am selected and will start peeing all over the TSA thug when he puts his hands down my pants.... and then just say “Oooops... weak bladder accident”.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if prospective TSA employees are screened for the “presence” of sociopathic tendencies rather than the “absence”. Who but a sociopath would willingly do to their fellow Americans what these animals are doing? Do ANY of them seem the least bit troubled by the level of invasiveness involved in the execution of their “duties”? If anything they seem to rather enjoy the power to subjugate and humiliate others. Who knows what these people are potentially capable of.
I peeked in on DU. They seem to share the outrage, but are searching for ways to blame the right wing for it.
Answer this one for me. Say I was invited to to attend Great Aunt Bessies wedding in Denver. I buy a round trip ticket and fly to Denver. I get groped and submit to radiation to get there.
Aunt Bessie has a giant party after the wedding, I get drunk as heck and miss my return flight. In otherwards, I don’t show up for my return flight.
What happens? Am I fined $11000 dollars? Is someone from the government going to find me and question me with the presumption that I am a terrorist?
I can actually see that this is where this leads.
