Palin’s supporters
The Taunton Gazette's Spitz Bits ^ | November 18, 2010 | Julia Spitz

I’m not exactly outraged Bristol Palin is in the finals of “Dancing with the Stars.” I’m not like the guy who shot out his TV when Tuesday’s votes were revealed.

Bristol has shown poise and a willingness to learn.

But she’s shown something else in her TV reality show run. She’s shown her mother’s surprising strength.

The reason she’s consistently at the bottom of the judge’s rankings and yet wins another chance every week? Her mom is Sarah Palin.

After this month’s elections, we officially live in the bluest blue-blue state on the face of the earth, so it takes a lot of folks by surprise the pull Palin has.

The truth is, for whatever reason, Sarah Palin has captured America’s heart. No matter what.

And her daughter is feeling the love.

If I were a betting woman, I’d bet Brandy and Maks aren’t the last of the shockers will see.

Though it might make me feel like the man in Wisconsin, I wouldn’t be surprised if Bristol takes home the trophy next week.

“Anyway the point is not that this is IN the Star, but that it WAS in the Star, and over a year later looks like absolute garbage as far as accuracy of prediction.”

The Star is one thing. The Enquirer is trashy but it does very careful research and sourcing. Back when I practiced law, I was hired by a celeb to sue them. They had their story solidly sourced and there was no chance of a successful suit.

I would say that, as between a fact stated in the Enquirer and a fact stated in the NYT or on CBS evening news, the fact stated in the Enquirer is more likely to be correct. Enquirer just dresses its facts up like trollops. NYT dresses them up like, well, John Kerry when he’s feeling very serious about himself.

My point is that an anonymous source will (most likely) confirm that she is, in fact, NOT PREGNANT. Everything else in the story may or may not be true, but I am sure we will be able to count on the fact that if the National Enquirer says she is NOT pregnant, she is, in fact, not pregnant.

The only successful suing of the National Enquirer AFAIK was Carol Burnett. They went with one source who said she was drunk and acting crazy at a party. Crazy perhaps, but she doesn't drink, not a drop.

Johnny Carson was going to sue when their headline read “Carson to get Divorce”, but then decided to go ahead with the divorce as planned.

This is a big non-story, useful only in that the usual suspects will be trotting it out.

True. We are influenced by our own upbringing, of course. The schools are teaching the students, the parents aren't as smart as they are, because they know about global warming, going green, liberal social justice, etc., etc.,

You people are impulsive at times and make choices that to varying degrees are dangerous. Driving and being in a car with someone else driving too fast, etc. It is a time when unintended consequences occur. ... the teens. Some are exceptional. Depends quite a bit on who they choose or allow as friends.

God help us in our day, in Jesus name, amen.

Yeah, I agree, but I Don’t believe that stuff anyway. Willow might be a free spirited girl, but I don’t believe that she is pregnant. It’s just lies from the left to stir up stuff so it floats in people’s heads

Yes, in the midst of the PDSBS, I guess you missed that I was already on this thread. But, hey, that’s okay. Thank you for the ping and for looking out for Sarah Palin’s interests!!!

I was notified of the NE in FR mail and I sent the link to a ‘chosen few’ — we’re all waiting to see which PDSer posts it. Bets have been made and they’re sealed in an air-tight condom....lol.

The left are trying to use Willow to smear Sarah. It’s that simple, smear the children. First Bristol, now Willow, what next, Piper accused of cheating in hopscotch, news at 11..I voted for Palin too(Not McCain, I really can’t stand him) and the garbage this family has had to deal with these last two years, never seen anything like it in my life

the Enquirer is not reliable at all

If you were talking about the Globe (sister of NE), or the Star, I'd say you're right, but remember the Enquirer was the one that ran with the Bill/Monica story and also the Edwards baby scandal. Of all the rags, I think the NE gets it more right than not. This time hopefully it falls in the "not" column.

I have my own guess. ;)

I am not on the Palin support ping list. I am still a free agent as to who I will vote for and I eagerly await her debate performances, but I support her candidacy 100%.

Can you add me?

Thanks!!!!

You know how many celebrities the National Enquirer has said will “die in the next few months” been waiting, these stars they have put in the ground are still ticking. Its a rag, they get 1 story right and all of a sudden they are reliable. In all fairness, I don’t believe the BS these tabloids say about Obama either. Isn’t the National Enquirer bankrupt..this is their last chance to try to sell some papers by posting nonsense about the Palin children. I am still waiting for a scandal involving Piper to be posted on the front page of the Enquirer

This was a rumor earlier this year I think. It probably was a REAL story on a RUMOR.

4 mostly midwesterners: anybody planning on actually doing anything for Palin? Or is this mostly a hangout for pundits?

Mostly, yes, AuH20 is a ways away and lot warmer. ;d

I haven’t done any activism aside from helping a little with a website if you wanna count that. (pundit, I like that)

Billyboy is an activist. He was on the ballot in ‘08 as Huckabee delegate as I recall.

So is Phil Collins (also in IL). Phil even ran for State Rep this year but was not allowed to be on the primary ballot, they wanted a handpicked RINO, they got him, and he lost the previously GOP held state House seat.

Palin will get my backing by default if her only serious opposition is Romney/Huck/Ect but I’m very open to other candidates.

i guess i am in an easy position to be active in PRES politics. Only 90 minutes from the NH border ... and people in NH do not get active in it becuz they have seen it a dozen times and figure they are the ones with the vote.

They rely on out-of-staters for the footwork. Iowa seemed a bit different, but I am not sure. The technique would be to do phoning to IA from home with an IA area code on a cell phone. And then take a weekend trip to Dubuque area every 6 to 8 weeks to meet your recruits in person.

I would be annoyed if I lived somewhere far from IA NH SC NV. I would be locked out of the action.
