(Flashback) Palin Defends Steele: 'I Am Glad He Is The Leader Of The Party'

Former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) last night defended embattled RNC Chairman Michael Steele as "doing a great job" and just a victim of the Washington establishment.

"Michael Steele is an outsider, the machine is tough to penetrate," Palin told Sean Hannity on Fox News. "It's been good to have an independent outsider trying to create some change in the Republican Party."

Your sick obsession has you resurrecting articles from April?

I still think of the Falcon waterless urinal party (so Conservative we don't think women should have the vote)every time I relieve myself.

Here’s the more recent skinny for ya, Mack.

Is Sarah Palin in Michael Steele’s corner?

Reporting from Washington — Is Sarah Palin the secret weapon in Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele’s reelection campaign?

Some members of the RNC think so. They expect her to back the former Maryland lieutenant governor’s bid for a second term as party chairman.

The two appeared together during Steele’s recent coast-to-coast “Fire Pelosi” bus tour. And Steele came to Palin’s defense on national television this week, telling critics of the former Alaska governor to “shut up.”

Palin’s endorsement would be a valuable asset in the coming chairmanship fight and could help counter those who say Steele is the wrong person to head the party going into the 2012 presidential cycle.

Now personally, I think Palin should take his job.

I was thinking more along the lines of DeMint, both Hunters, Barbour, Liz Cheney, etc

Will everyone get out of the Palin cult? She is a pork queen, Ted Stevens enabler who supports TARP and sends planned parenthood apparatchik to the Alaskan Supreme court.

I don't mind people supporting her but the way some do it is cult like. She is not a conservative and her positions and associations are very much typical GOP insider.

You are doing a good job telling the truth about Palin but everyone you list has MAJOR fundamental flaws...Barbour is well Barbour (the epitome of an establishment hack), Liz Cheney is not a conservative, Duncan Hunter is corrupt via the House bank for one, and Demint drank the Romenycare kool aid and tried to pass it nationally...(otherwise known as Romeny care).

You mean the House bank scandal that allowed members to have their checks temporarily covered without a penalty? Otherwise known as overdraft protection?

*********

The House banking scandal ultimately involved more than 450 representatives, most of whom did not break any laws. Twenty-two congressmen and -women were singled out by the House Ethics Committee for leaving their checking accounts overdrawn for at least eight months out of a sample of 39 months.

Backing McCain in the primary was strike 1 for Palin.
Backing Steele in his re-election bid is strike 2.

Steele is doomed now that Palin supports him. Its like getting an endorsement from David Duke or something. The media and Leftist progressives have managed to turn Sarah Palin into a hated figure akin to Hitler or Stalin without the slightest evidence save a few early, bad interviews and her resignation from the governors office. Once they put someone in their sights—they can poison anyone in the eyes of the fickle public. Look what they did to Bush and continue to do?

Was this BEFORE the election? The title says “Flashback”, so I can only assume so, since there wasn’t a date on her remarks. I do remember her having kind words for Michael Steele, and figured, at the time, she was just not playing into the hands of the MSM which wanted to create divisions in the Republican Party, which would only have helped the Democrats.

This was nothing but a payback to the RNC for them helping with her defence fund. Nothing else.

Steele should be eased out of the job with high praise, and someone who understands the Tea rebellion should be put in his place.
