Galt’s Gulch?

Probably none of them really. State lines aren’t going to interfere with a real economic meltdown.
It’s in one of Odumbo’s “57” states..
Against a Federal collapse - nowhere... Against a collapse by several States - North Dakota and Texas...
The list they have I did not see Texas
Bfl
The great state of Uruguay!;-)
I am moving from California to Texas next year about this time (a little earlier to avoid the rains).
By that time my house will be paid off and I can sell it still for much more than I paid for it (even in today’s market). My note has such a small APR that to do so too soon doesn’t make sense.
I was born and raised in California and will miss the state of my birth. We have everything — desert, beach, mountains, blue skies and temperate weather year around (yes, the occasional temblor but wth).
Texas is my choice because I travel across the country for a living and it is centrally located with one of the largest airports in the country in DFW. They of course don’t have income tax and I am pretty sure the marginal tax rate is a lot less than California.
Also, Texas isn’t insane like California is.
One with small islands that are hard to get to.
NC!HUH!Tax robbery state just like Ma.
I recommend that you don't plan on getting too isolated, but rather becoming part of an established community that doesn't have a large government-dependent population (of course some degree of government dependence will be found anywhere).
Also it's a good idea to get relocated there before the need arises, if possible.
I'll Freepmail you with more details that you may find helpful.
Tennessee - lots of rural areas - good farming, good hunting - inexpensive property - moderate winters which I think would be a big factor in a meltdown. Good people, that are pretty self-sufficient and conservative.
Just sayin....
the state you should be in is:
1. debt free
2. own land to grow food
3. guns and ammo
4. silver coins
5. a year of food
6. a skill that is useful
When there is uncertainty, typically best place to be is on the ground you are most familiar with. Instead of moving why not contribute to the reduction of premeditated Obama meltdown? Sure there were events prior to Obama, but he is exacerbating and adding to them for his post America world.
Solution is not to move but grab the bull by the horns.
After building the hobby farm and with the results from the last election...I am sticking with Wisconsin...but will be ready to move if need be...probably to Texas.
Wherever your close family is.
If you are truly homeless and penniless a mild climate will help, so San Diego, California!
If I see one more Native Californian toy license plate in the rear window of an Idaho registered BMW or M-B, I may erupt with open range rage and go RFD postal.
How about another question? Forget which state. Which country is the best choice to move to in an attempt to survive the impending economic meltdown? I’m seriously looking.
The pathetic thing about America is that we were number one, while our own government and our own corporations screwed us when it came to creating the soon to be the number one economy in the world.....COMMIE CHINA.
We can squabble about whether the unions did it, but in the end it was our own elected USA officials who made the trade rules that forced us to accept Chinese imports while China rejected ours, and it was our so-called USA companies that made the decision to outsource our jobs.
Every time I see the mega billionaires of Wall Street who sold us out making deals while they received hundreds of billions (actually TRILLIONS) as support from taxpayers it is infuriating.
America First - Tea Party First
A large enough lot to have a good size seasonal garden - and zoning that allows a few chickens.
