That is one big piece of the LA missile story that is absent. Very odd if it was a missile launch you would think there would have been several boats that would come back with stories.

Why is that a surprise. No noats or aircraft were iin the immediate vicinity of the launch, they were warned away by a surface and air NOTAM. .You can see it on several of the other threads.

I don’t even get into this with the “it was a missile” cult any more. I’m with you on this too. If this had actually been a missile, forget all the similarities with other flight 808 contrails and other evidence against it. One can just focus on all the other eyewitness accounts from people that were a LOT closer to the “launch” than the helicopter camera man.

They must all be being held in a secret government bunker under the ocean somewhere. ;)

Exactly. Not to mention the aircraft that were in the region and transiting at 39,000 feet. There was a Boeing 757 and a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 that transited the area. No aircrew saw anything out of the ordinary. Why should they? The most likely culprit of the contrail was the UPS MD-11. Tri-engined airliners and their contrails have been causing confusion within the 'chemtrail' nut community for years. Just because the contrail appears to rise from the horizon does not mean that it is a missile launch. The following video shows an airliner filmed in Florida.
