Huffington Post Libels Palin, Refuses to Change Story
Pundit Press ^ | 11/9/10 | Aurelius

Does this really surprise anyone? Currently, the liberal psuedo-news site the Huffington Post has a gigantic picture of former VP candidate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and a 99 font size (and all capital letters) "GOTCHA" on the front of their website:

The picture, which intentionally tries to mock Palin, links to an article by the Huffington Post that states that Palin "misquoted" a story in the Wall Street Journal. However, if you wade through the article and past the liberal slant, you would realize that Mrs. Palin is telling the truth.

If you read the article, Palin stated that food prices increased over the last year. They did. The HuffPo cries foul, saying that the prices didn't rise that much, but obviously their lies cannot hid the fact that Palin was correct.

>>>Uh, wasn't Palin's quote: "everyone who ever goes out shopping for groceries knows that prices have risen significantly over the past year or so..."

>>>The response by the WSJ reporter was that the increase was not actually significant. Who is misquoting?

The article Palin cites to back her up actually states that last year was "the tamest year of food pricing in nearly two decades."

If you pick a single snapshot — say, September’s year-over-year increase in prices — that was just 1.4%, far better than the 6% annual increase for food prices recorded in September 2008.

The run up in commodity prices is not the result of too much money chasing too few goods (quantitative easing), but is instead a result of fundamentals. Supplies of many commodities are down due to increased demand globally as a result of the global economic recovery and output issues in key producing countries (eg wheat in Russia). This is what is driving food prices higher.

Just more lies by the criminal gangster government that we have. How ridiculous that they, with a straight face, exclude food and energy from “core” inflation and claim prices aren’t rising. What is more impactful to people EVERY DAY than food and energy prices?

The only good thing about what she puts in print is that you can read the lies, when she talks it sounds like she has a mouth full of crap.

It’s the blog pimping that is annoying. Maybe it wasn’t your intention, but we get a lot of people here who only post a few teaser lines here as a way to drive more traffic to the blog where the real story is.

It gets bothersome to read the beginning of a story here only to find the punch line is on some other website.

I would love to know a whole lot more about this woman. As I recall she married a rich conservative guy. Conservative guy dies, she gets the money. The man is barely in the ground and Huffington abruptly becomes a lefty mouth piece.

Not sure she’s Greek, but Greece definitely lists to the portside. Anyone who’se taken the time to figure out how we have a usurping Marxist in the WH knows the left plotted more than half a century to make that happen. This plot included coopting the US Supreme Court, print/broadcast media, education, labor unions, religious leadership, financial leadership and the GOP. Perhaps she’s been part of the grand plan for a long time.

Palin’s Facebook friends: 2.3 Million

WSJ Circulation: 2.1 Million

Knowing that 200,000 more people read her smack down of Sudeep Reddy than read his original article: PRICELESS

Let’s look at this whole farce objectively.

Sarah says “everyone who ever goes out shopping for groceries knows that prices have risen significantly over the past year or so”

YEAR OR SO.

Now Mr. Sudeep from the WSJ says Palin didn’t read the WSJ article.

Oh really Mr. Sudeep. I did.

Quote from the article, second paragraph – “Prices of staples including milk, beef, coffee, cocoa and sugar have risen sharply in recent months.”

Risen sharply in recent months.

Now Ms. Palin said a year or so - so was she overstepping? Again Mr Sudeep, look at the graphic accompanying the article. It’s BIG and easy to read. And it shows staples rising much higher from a YEAR EARLIER. So recent months and a year earlier, all from the WSJ article. And Palin’s quote was off?

So is the article poorly written or all over the board? If so, then that reflects on the WSJ. Or did Ms. Palin take what the article gives and correctly make a point about rising food over the last year or so regardless of what the first paragraph of the article states and what Mr. Sudeep likes to ONLY point out and that the Huff Post is laughing so hard about.

Am I missing something or wrong?

Palin generates hits for HuffPo. That’s all it is. I went there once and every other article mentioned Palin.

I find it weird that our society has a such a short memory.
This women (Huffington) either turned her own husband gay, or married him knowing he’s gay just to advance her career. And she has the nerve to criticize a super women like Palin, who raised five kids, ran for and won city council, mayor and Governor (60% approval rating) ON HER OWN (unlike Hildabeast who got where she is by sleeping with, and turning a blind eye to the accused rapist convicted liar). Yet feminist champion Hillary and “Arriana” while constantly bashing Palin. Makes me ill. GOTCHA Arianna.

Speaking of the WSJ, it is not really a Conservative paper at all! Yes perhaps the Editorial page is, but outside of that is quite a liberal outfit.

I mean they partner with NBC for polling, polling that allows Chucky Todd to actually have some input into the wording of the questions.

So really this idea that the WSJ is a Conservative paper is really not true, heck they employed Al Hunt for how many years??

I am open to correction on the WSJ, but that`s how I see it.

No evidence that Rupert is going to change it at all.

Huffington readers are addicted to lies! “YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!” But seriously; think about it. These people thrive on each others’ contrivances.

And with the voice that should always be singing the theme song from "Green Acres"?

She was married to a rich Republican who ran/lost in California Governor race, and then “came out” as a homosexual — they divorced and she came out with a huge chunk.

Set your FR page to News/Activizm then you won't even see the blogs and won't have to be informed by anything except that which is posted in the news forum.

Blog hating pimpsters that complained about not doing a good sized excerpt have stopped bothering those that post a sufficient excerpt such as on this thread.
