"I am posting this as requested. Please, anyone who sees this, post anywhere and everywhere you can to help and try to find this girl. PLEASE CROSSPOST...URGENT! My daughter, Jackie Buyher, has been missing from the northwest side of Evansville, IN since Wednesday, Nov. 3rd. She is 16 years old, about 5' 6" tall, sandy brown hair (straight, shoulder length), hazel eyes, and weighs approximately 120 lbs. Friends that I am in contact with, as well as school officials, have not seen her since that day. A missing person's report has been filed with the Evansville Police Dept., and recently has expanded to a nation-wide alert. If anyone has seen her, or think they may know her whereabouts, please dial 911 and report any information you may have to the Evansville PD.

I received this alert via facebook............not being sure it was true I went to Snope.com...I did not see it there (as we all know that some of this are false) ..that being said I searched the internet. Since I have not found (as yet)that this could be a false alert I am posting it. Please Freepers..keep your eyes open for her and please pray for her save return! God be with her and her family!

Please do not misunderstand I raised two daughters. My point is more about the back story. BTW mine were NEVER allowed to go to the Mall without Mrs. Mad or myself until they were 18 and had completed self defense classes from a Shaolin priest.

White pages lists a Rachel Buyher in Evansville, and a Rachel Buyher has the page on facebook.

Googling the name (Buy her ?) only seems to come up with social networking sites and blogs. No reputable news sites or law enforcement sites.

Me smell a hoax.

But I may be wrong.

Just so you know, I ran away from home when I was young...it was by the grace of God (which I am not worthy of) that I returned home “safe”. Thanks for sharing that. It makes you very qualified to understand the point I was trying to make (probably not very well). I will tell you that in my youth, back in the early 70’s I knew more “runaway” girls than others. It was rampant, most were already damaged to unbelievable levels.

I am glad you made it back and recovered. It is a rare thing.

Interesting posts.

In February, 2010, a high-speed Amtrak train, traveling from Boston to Washington, struck and killed two teenage girls in a town southwest of Philadelphia. It was suicide. Three girls had a pact. All three were standing on the tracks, but one girl “chickened” out. She didn’t talk at first, but police immediately went to the girls’ facebook pages.

Although facebook allows you to keep your account private, one of the girls, who committed suicide, chose to keep her wall open. I read her comments, going back months before her death, and all the signs of depression and hints of suicide were there. Her aunt would even comment occasionally, saying things like...Aw sweetie, everything will be okay...

How sad.
