Obama blames lack of Republican cooperation for failure of his healthcare bill

Barack Obama blames the lack of Republican cooperation for the failure of his healthcare bill, according to comments he made on last night’s "60 Minutes" TV program. Sitting down with Steve Kroft two days after his self-described "shellacking" this past Tuesday, Obama attempted to make it appear as if he sort of, kind of understood what the American people were plainly communicating to him when they fired a whole heck of a lot of Democrats in the midterms. However, Obama’s insistence to still shift the blame to the Republicans even now, when it should be 100% clear to him that it was his fault and his party’s fault for pushing through a hugely unpopular bill, verifies that he still has not learned anything from the midterm "shellacking." After all, what’s so hard in finally confessing that his obstinate, ideological and arrogant refusal to listen to the majority of the US is what caused his healthcare bill to go down in flames?

>> Other than lubing up and bending over, what could the Republicans have done to make his job easier?

But, enough about Lindsay Graham...

Obama ‘Quite Comfortable’ As One-Term President, White House Spokesman Says

http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/52886

Obama is willing to be a one-term president “to complete a socialist takeover of the United States” before his popularity runs out, said Morris.

“The president’s willingness to go down with the ship can scarcely be comforting to congressmen and senators who want to live in Washington a little longer,” Morris told CNSNews.com.

What failure? The monstrosity is law....at least for now.

Nobody wanted it, nobody liked it. Obama could have backed off.

But he didn’t. He and the dem Congress will be hated like no other.

"...still shift the blame to Republicans..."

This still from the man who just a day after the elections agreed that he would work together with them. Who spoke to a crowd just before the elections and said that partisan politics must stop. I am so sick, sick, sick of this lying narcissist who has to blame Republican politicians everytime there is something he does not like. How absolutely childish and devisive he is.

And how INSULTING to the American public who he still cannot accept were smart enough to see on their own that the health care bill was a huge sham and scam of the government to steal their money and take control of their lives.

And, what's more...it was mostly the action of the people who formed the grassroots TEA party movement...who protested themselves, not waiting for any politicans to do it, but spoke out across the nation against the HC plan and govt. control, that had the major effect in exposing the plan for what it really was. And...what else Obama fails to accept...that the TEA Party movement was not a Republican effort. It was clearly and obviously comprised of Americans of all parties/no party alliance who put the "We, the people" back into the forefront for politicians in Washington to remember - whether they were Democrat or Republican politicians.

I have never, ever wished more that some major scandal, or incident would errupt to take down a president and remove him from office. Such a thing is never good for our country's standing internationally, but in this case it would be a welcome relief in the end. This emotionally dysfunctional and narcissistic man just continually causes the United States to be divided and in constant uproar with his continual need to be blaming others, his anti-American behavior and hate for our freedoms , his in-your-face/shove it down our throats attitude, and his Marxist/socialist/communist (whatever) agenda.

Barack Obama blames the lack of Republican cooperation for the failure of his healthcare bill

Bazarro-world.

I thought it passed.

Now, if he is complaining about content failure, that is put in the lap of Nancy 'we gotta pass it to know what is in it' Pelosi.

If his complaint is that he didn't communicate it well enough, what about the 50-some (IIRC) speeches (most televised, at least on cable) and two hour-long primetime broadcasts?

This should be retitled: Obama in search of a scapegoat to blame election losses on.

He’s right. It was the Republicans fault that there were no hearings. It was the Republicans fault that they couldn’t offer amendments.

Caught part of Obama’s speech in India this morning when I turned on the news.

Obama was talking about some Democracy/government that should not allow elections/votes to be stolen...

I was just waking up and missed the earlier part, so I don’t know whether he was talking about HERE or THERE.

I thought it ironic, considering allegations HERE in both 2008 [ACORN/Black Panthers/SEIU] and 2010 [NV/AK/DE].

A panorama scan of the audience showed that they didn’t appear to be too impressed. They sat quietly and looked rather bored.

thank you thank you and thank you to the stupid Won for equating obamacare to Romneycare.

That may help the GOP dodge a bullet in selecting a candidate for 2012.

Pardon me but don't you mean the Tea-party better not fumble the ball? The GOP is made up of @$$wipes!

I just hope the 90-some new Tea-Party House members don't come in with the go along to get along attitude. I hope the are coming in to shake up the establishment -- including Boehner-Cantor, etc.

Otherwise, things will turn out to be the same ole status quo.

The Tea Party needs to keep pressure on all the elected and let them know that, if they go that route (status quo), they will be involuntarily retired in 2012 -- whether Dem or Repub.

I can't help but think that more cleaning out of the ole guard incumbents is going to be needed in 2012.

this morning the radio hosts claimed that obama failed to meet with Mitch McConnell for the first 18 months of his presidency. How;s that for reaching across the aisle?

Of course the chinless McConnell should have been out front making sure everyone knew this. Instead he's probably planning a welcome back party for his esteemed colleague Harry Reid.
