No big vanity here, guys (nor, perish the thought, an "opus").
I just wanted to observe the fact that I've been on this forum for 10 years today, and to thank Jim Robinson for the opportunity to vent my spleen and express whatever humorous or (hopefully) thoughtful impulses happen to drift through my transom. And when they do, it is often at the instigation and inspiration of many of you here assembled. You folks have become like an extended family to me, and yes, I truly mean that.
Thank you all for your passion, your humor and your continuing commitment to help restore the kind of America I recall so fondly as a child and a young man.
I sincerely hope that in another ten year's time, we will have taken steps toward restoring the nation we all love, and I know instinctively that all of you will have helped participate in that effort.
Best regards,
Andy
Humblegunner’s zombie deer would have eaten any cards being sent anyway.
They weren’t MY Zombie deer.
Well, maybe a little, as far as I put the coffee out..
OK, it was an experiment gone bad.. but .. well..
Never mind.
I note that the West Texas hunting magazines have run many
articles about coked-up feral attack deer.. funny stuff.
I think that is the reason I remember the rock. That was going on at the time Maggie died. I still have so many reminders of her. The afghan that she had her husband crochet for me. He said that she stood over him to make sure he did it exactly as she wished. He would make a tiny mistake and she would make him unravel it and do it over. He would protest that “nobody would notice it”, to which she would snap, “I did”. I cherish that afghan and put it in the cedar chest to keep for my granddaughter. I still miss that sweet Sistah.
LOL
I had mine just two weeks ago. It’s been a wild ride.
Much appreciated - and thanks for your service, way back then...
I have a feeling it's going to get a whole lot wilder, and maybe soon...
She and Texascowboy needling and joking with each other, that was memorable as well.
Think they’ll figure out why the deer are acting weird?
;^)
Congrats!
5.56mm
My dear sweet innocent wouldn’t harm a fly sister just suggested that some feed stations be set out for the deer baited with the coffee to ostensibly ‘help’ your fellow hunters in your neck of the woods.
Pack some trail cams, that could get amusing.
Yes. We had some years of fun with both of them. It was very sad to lose them. I try not to get too close any more. It hurts when we lose FRiends.
Beat you by 2 days, noobie ;-) Congrats!
Fully understand on that.
Even worse when you work third shift and hear of someone passing on long after the fact.
These days it’s best to be thankful if you have work to go to. Take care my FRiend. God bless.
Wow! Talk about strange...I just checked and it’s been 10 years to the day that I joined.
That’s one of ‘em!
It’s spreading, man.. this..
This could worse than Zombies.
This isn’t good. This is bad. Definitely bad.
What have we done?
