NPR fires analyst Juan Williams after he says Muslims on planes make him nervous. NPR, those bastions of liberal tolerance, fired Williams late on Wednesday night after he made intellectually honest comments while appearing on the OReilly Factor this past Monday. Appearing on the Factor in the wake of the OReilly/"The View" brouhaha over Bill OReillys own politically incorrect (but 110% TRUE) comments about Muslims, Williams said that he gets nervous if hes on a plane and sees Muslims who identify themselves first as Muslims before anything else. And because of this intellectually honest admission of how he feels and thinkswhich many other people likely share and which makes complete senseNPR responds in intolerant, Nazi-like retaliation and censorship by firing him! Theres no room in America for this overly severe political correctness that NPR has displayed so shamefully. Regardless of what you believe, Juan Williams is entitled to his opinion if thats really how he feels.

Jerry Falwell, love him or hate him, said many years ago...I believe in the late 70’s, that the ACLU was the scourge of America and that political correctness would destroy America.
I believe that was pretty much dead on, given our current situation - gay rights, illegal aliens, abortion, muslim apologetics, etc. The Muslims know this and will exploit our liberal stupidity.
NPR has been painting Moslems with lipstick for a long time with puff pieces on individual Moslems, their plight and how unfair their lives are. Nothing negative ever appears. sd
Yes, that has been commented on in some of the other threads. His employer at the time (Wa Post?) managed to gin up a sexual harassment charge on Juan that was pretty stale.
