NPR fires analyst Juan Williams after he says Muslims on planes make him nervous

NPR fires analyst Juan Williams after he says Muslims on planes make him nervous. NPR, those bastions of liberal tolerance, fired Williams late on Wednesday night after he made intellectually honest comments while appearing on the O’Reilly Factor this past Monday. Appearing on the Factor in the wake of the O’Reilly/"The View" brouhaha over Bill O’Reilly’s own politically incorrect (but 110% TRUE) comments about Muslims, Williams said that he gets nervous if he’s on a plane and sees Muslims who identify themselves first as Muslims before anything else. And because of this intellectually honest admission of how he feels and thinks—which many other people likely share and which makes complete sense—NPR responds in intolerant, Nazi-like retaliation and censorship by firing him! There’s no room in America for this overly severe political correctness that NPR has displayed so shamefully. Regardless of what you believe, Juan Williams is entitled to his opinion if that’s really how he feels.

I cringe every time I see this person on Fox News. Hopefully they will stop using him too and he can crawl into a corner and write a book.

Fire NPR. Why should this unamerican bunch be financed by American taxpayers?

Mohammedans *ANYWHERE* make me nervous!

Juan is just expressing good common sense, which is rare for the denizens of NPR, CPB, PBS, and the other tentacles of this giant tax-sucking hydra.

Every day there are dozens, hundreds, even thousands killed in bloody outrages perpetrated by the genocidal adherents of this savage death cult.

Meanwhile, NPR-CPB-PBS would have you think we are locked in a war to the death with pro-life Christians.

Their ideology has poisoned their ability to think straight.

Another example of leftist tolerance... I think I speak for all of us when I say that we all respect Mr. Williams’ right to disagree. Too bad our taxes have to pay for an organization that does not agree with this American view. While I don’t agree with his views, there are times when he can be tough on the left and ask them difficult questions. Perhaps FOX should dump Shepard Smith and give Juan Williams that time slot. :)

This could be rolled into a lot of Tea Party campaigns.

FIRST ACT OF THE NEW GOP CONGRESS:

De-fund NPR! Shut. It. Down.

Juan is not my favorite commentator. But he was fired
for being the voice of America for just a moment.

How’s the tolerence of the “Left” working out for you, Juan?

I’m watching Imus right now on Fox Business News.

The irony is interesting. Don Imus was fired from a leftist network for a political correctness - and now has a pretty good morning gig in the premarket slot on Fox Business.

I hope Juan is also brought onto Fox full time. He reminds me of the liberal who gets mugged.

Hire Juan. Then de-fund that waste of taxpayer dollars NPR.

I’m offended by everything said on MSNBC can they all be fired? I have been called a racist, a biggot, etc. and they haven’t even meant me.

Juan is that stopped clock that is right twice a day. He got into trouble over his criticism of the show trial of Clarence Thomas, which some on this board may be old enough to remember.

This article is about liberal intolerance at NPR and you want him fired from Fox. Interesting...

I like Juan Williams. Even though he gives the liberal point of view, he can usually back up his views without shouting. Also, when he seems to be spouting the White House’s talking points, you literally can see it in his eyes that he doesn’t believe what he’s saying. He was on Fox News this morning and he seems to be happier and freer to say what he wants.

Marc,
Calling people Nazis followed by exclamation points isn't going to win any arguments. By the way, why did you excerpt your own writings? Are you in danger of suing yourself for copy write infringement?
Never mind. I see by your posting history that you've put up dozens of threads but haven't responded to anyone since April.

Juan is pretty much a normal human being ~ the folks at NPR are NOT!@

He was also very specific what kind of Moslems made him feel uncomfortable on planes ~ those who DRESS like Moslems to let you know who they are.

In short, he feels intimidated when people (Moslems) try to intimidate him.

NPR's management appears to want us to IGNORE intimidation and JUST GET ALONG.

That's such a pant-load. These people have to be defunded and tossed into the street to be among their own kind as soon as possible.

The Muslim whatever it is is not a religion. At best it is a insane political system with an ostensibly religious component. it should not be treated as a religion or afforded the rights and privileges of a religion under the U.S. Constitution.
