As this election cycle is heading into the final throes, many candidates are getting desperate. Mud-slinging, name-calling and other unsavory things are beginning to fill the airwaves and mailboxes.
We were recently tipped off to a mailer sent out by Rep. Betty Sutton, D-Ohio, whos up for reelection in the states 13th District. In the mailer (which can be seen below) Sutton accuses her Republican opponent Tom Ganley of Funding our enemies because he doesnt support Draconian cap-and-trade legislation. Now of course it doesnt come out right and say cap and trade, but she does a wonderful job of dancing around it.
The irony of the situation is that the Ohio State Senate outright rejected cap and trade by adopting a resolution opposing cap-and-trade emission trading system legislation. Sutton clearly doesnt care what her constituents think.
The back side of the mailer shows a picture of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appearing at the United Nations in New York City with the text, Why would we give this man an extra $100,000,000 a day?
Heres a better question: Why are we allowing him to get a nuclear bomb? But I digress.

Unfortunately, the patriotic, pro-American, but very misguided socially conservative union households in OH-13 will swallow it and ask for more.
Interestingly (or not), Sutton is the 2nd most liberal Representative in Ohio. Her ACU rating is 8 1/2 points more liberal than Dennis Kucinich, and only exceeded by someone named “Fudge”.

It’s the treasonous left-wing democrats who are in bed with our enemies. Everyone knows that.
