Candidates Jerry Brown (D) and Meg Whitman (R) met on a stage at Dominican University in San Rafael in the final debate of the California gubernatorial campaign, moderated by former NBC News Host Tom Brokaw. The debate was more open than most, as Brokaw sometimes allowed the two to speak without his interruption. One only hopes that other moderators might follow his example, and allow something approaching true debates between candidates. (more)

Forget Jerry Brown’s comment about police chiefs. Meg Whitman’s gaffe about Governor Sarah Palin was what got my attention.
While she was trying to run away from Governor Sarah Palin as fast as she could, Whitman went on about how there were other Republicans that got her support. What she apparently forgot was that she campaigned for the McCain/Palin presidential ticket. You know, the President AND Vice President.
But I suppose when you only vote once every 20 years or so, this kind of thing is a little too difficult to comprehend.
One only hopes she's not Arnold in drag.
