American Jews, 78% of whom voted to make Barack Obama president are continuing to move away from Obama and his policies. According to a survey conducted by the American Jewish Committee (AJC) , 51% of Jews approve of the way Obama is doing his job. While that number may seem high keep in mind that the AJC poll conducted in March 2010, showed the president with a 58% approval.

There are indeed far too many democrats that think Hillary is a good lady. But I heard her involvement in Az. sicking the U.N. on them with Obama made some eyebrows raise. This is why Hillary went silent I suppose.
I agree that it isn't productive to keep wringing our hands asking the question but we get these stories every once in a while about how Jews are about to break from the Dem candidate and vote against him but it never happens. I think people are commenting more on the false premise of the story.
Like I said, we may get the Catholic vote in 2012, but they will never become a permanent part of the conservative voting block, they will always remain, or lean liberal.
Who are they backing now...Stalin??
The Upper West Side remains in shock over Joe's Death, and they are still holding fund-raisers for Alger Hiss and the Rosenbergs; still looking to beat up any renegade Trotsky-ites left in old-age homes. Check in with the Kagan Family, if you don't believe me.
Not backing Obama as usual? So, look for write-in votes for Fidel and Chavez. Oi Vey, must a guy from Maine explain everything to you people?
I won’t believe reports like this until I read election returns showing it to be true.
I guess you’re right. I did vote for the Juan yo-yo.
I could never in a million years vote for any democrap... but esp a democrap from kenya.
“Moving away from Obama” just means they will favor somebody else in the primaries. It does not mean they will vote Republican.
Sweetheart trade deals with Cuba going down for Soros-Obama pals as we speak! BTW, the Cuban infrastructure is so gutted, that there isn't much left to privatize. IMHO, it will become an economic colony of Spain again, as soon as you-know-who get's Satan's pitchfork up his diseased bum.
Batista made a big mistake in not executing Fidel when he had the chance! Would have saved hundreds of thousands of lives. Now, whoever controls the huge army is going to call the tune ... or try to. My crystal ball says a left-wing peace-keeper force (Brazil, Venezuela, Bolivia) will be deployed to damp down the civil war on the way.
BTW, The Souse Americans with whom I work consider the Mombasa Moonbeam a figure of ridicule!
“...are they both on the same Alinsky side?”
Don’t you think that self-interest trumps altruism? (At least concerning those two.)
I believe that. The white Catholics finally started becoming open to Republicans as the boomer Catholics entered the voting ages, but it is too little too late, to change Catholics into a conservative voting block.
The American branch of the Catholic church is becoming Hispanic, and Catholics that are Hispanic are more traditionally Catholic in their voting than the current white Catholics, so all we can do is strive to minimize the future Catholic effect on national politics, by working to make Hispanic Catholics a little less determinedly Democrat.
Let’s hope this increases before 2012, but I doubt it.
The Republicans reached their record high of the Jewish vote, at 45%, in 1916. I don't anticipate that record being broken anytime soon.
Boy, are you ever right about the Upper West Side never giving up. I belong to a private club here in NYC and have to listen to totally over-the-hill senior citizens going on about Alger Hiss and the Rosenbergs. The good side is that younger generations laugh at them behind their backs. And sometimes to their face!
I’ll name one name: Professor Irwin Corey, lol!

Try to act surprised when they all vote for him again in 2012....
“There was an almost irrational fear of the Christian right. There was a need for scary people to form a barrier. “
I have run into this firsthand a number of times, and remain perplexed by it as a perceived main threat in today’s world. I do wonder whether its origin is earlier american christians or more from the (quite very bad) experiences Jews had in europe over a number of centuries with christians.
It does seem like a cultural anachronistic viewpoint from a time when, in fact, Jews had a great deal to fear from devout and/or fundamentalist christians. Now whether this was the 14th century or the 19th (worth noting that many jewish families didn’t come over until the late 19th or early 20th centuries) or somewhere in between, I don’t know.
Please. Some respect for the alter kakers, young Ms Marmelstein. Those Republican goniffs and their cossacks have held the proletariat down too long!
Now, let's sing "The Internationale," and have a little something to eat before we head down to the rally at Cooper Union!
