C-SPAN Uses 8/28 Crowd Shot for ‘One Nation’ Promo

In promoting its coverage of Saturday’s “One Nation” rally in Washington, D.C., C-SPAN’s website offered visitors a peak at what the rally looked like on the ground along the National Mall. But, as Gateway Pundit points out, the image they use to advertise the “One Nation Working Together” rally is actually a cropped Reuters photo taken on August 28 during the “Restoring Honor” rally hosted by Glenn Beck, seen here:

I have been jumping from thread to thread and it gets confusing, but there is one titled “Size Matters” and it has pictures side by side showing the difference. It’s astounding.

I read somewhere that CNN had a picture depicting it on their site and when someone pointed out a Gladstone Flag [sp?][which would never be at a socialist gathering] CNN removed it, lol.

I was thinking that I didn't recall seeing any pictures of the cops at 8-28 armed in such fashion, but you make a great point too.

That was their story about the rally BEFORE the rally, and so the picture was obviously supposed to be the Beck rally, since the communist rally hadn’t happened yet.

Also, in that article there was a PREDICTION that the satellite pictures would rival Beck’s, not that they actually did — again because the article was written Before the Rally.

That is the best set of comparison photos I've seen yet of the two rallies... thank you for posting them at the top of this thread, plinyelder!

We were at the Beck 8/28 rally, and it was incredible (as was 9/12/09 in DC).

I can tell you for a fact that in the Beck photo, there were people crowded blanket-to-blanket under each and every tree you see in the pic. It was a HOT day in DC on 8/28/10. So there were even far more people at the 8/28 rally than you can see in the photo.

And everyone was kind, polite and helpful to people who had trouble walking, were in wheelchairs, etc. AND we picked up every last bit of our trash - as usual. The DC Park Police are always stunned that crowds as large as ours leaves behind NO trash. ;-)
