The John Kerry Playbook: Lie and smear
The American Thinker ^ | October 01, 2010 | Peter Wilson

What is it about Karl Rove that gets under the skin of Democrats?

A fundraising letter from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, signed by John Kerry, froths at the mouth about "Rove's shadowy groups":

"We know Karl Rove's playbook. Lie. Smear. Win at any cost...the money we raise now will determine if we can counter Rove's dirty tricks. Last week alone, Rove and his billionaire cronies spent $11 million to attack good people like Russ Feingold and Barbara Boxer. They're trying to buy a Senate majority for Tea Party radicals Sharron Angle, Rand Paul and Christine O'Donnell."

Curious, because after the Delaware primary, Rove's criticism of Christine O'Donnell turned into a widely publicized skirmish with Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Rove appeared to be the voice of the Republican establishment attacking a Tea Party candidate.

Rove's "billionaire cronies" at American Crossroads have financed ads in Nevada, Colorado, New Hampshire, Ohio and Missouri. To date, nothing in Delaware. Furthermore, the group repeatedly denies that Rove is the evil mastermind behind their actions.

So John Kerry's accusation that Rove is trying to buy the Delaware Senate seat for Christine O'Donnell is not factually accurate. One might even call him a liar, but that would be descending to the smear tactics of those "radical fringe" Tea Partiers.

Won't call him a liar. He has so much seared into his memory that his brain is fried.

I thought Democrats loved RINO Rove now that he's fighting for their side...

Wow. What a surprise to learn that Karl Rove is now a full-fledged supporter of Christine O’Donnell.

Not the way I read it just a few short weeks ago. But hey, if Karl Rove has had a “come to Jesus” moment regarding the flood of “tea party” candidates that have popped up like mushrooms within the ranks of Republicans, and have managed to get onto the ballot, then we could just maybe manage to sear Jean Kerre’s brain a little more.

One might also say say Kerry never let the truth get in the way of an appeal for money.

No, actually I think he swerved. Drove a jeep off in a ditch and got a purple heart.

To quote the well-known authority, George Costanza, “It isn’t a lie if you believe it.”

Yes, and in 3 months won every medal the Navy had to give so he left.

I used to get really mad that Massachusetts sent people like John Kerry to Congress, and then I realised that here in Maryland the people keep sending Babs Mikulski and Steny Hoyer.

No matter how hard we try these liberal Democrats keep winning elections, paid for by entitlements .Paid for by tax dollars.

Kind of amazing that a creep like that got something like 49% of the vote in ‘04, isn’t it?

It is clear to be that the Dems are brilliant when it comes to getting elected but idiotic about governing.

I am taking nothing for granted about Nov 2 because the Dems campaign cash, ground game, union goons and ACORN types who literally drag poor and old people to the polls, and bag of dirty tricks mean that they can’t be counted out.
