I wonder what the numbers are for the Iranian population before and after the revolution.
In the late 1930’s, Stalin ordered an accurate census in order to prepare for the possible war with Germany. When his census takers reported the actual Soviet population numbers - after the various purges and the starvation in the Ukraine - Stalin became angry that the numbers were so low compared to his expectations. Typically, Stalin ordered the census takers shot.
The present government of Iran seems to be cast in that Stalinist mold.
This brutal, corrupt, violent regime declared war on the USA in 1979. They should openly and publicly be opposed, with their downfall as a stated policy goal. An invasion is not necessary or even desired. This rotten regime would collapse on its own, if the USA would only lead....
Instead Obama is apologizing to them - disgusting.
