The Black Panther Distraction – While Colbert Clowns It Up The MSM Ignores Black Panther Hearings

Stephen Colbert appearing at the House Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security, and International Law has done its job. They wanted to distract everyone from the bombshells coming out of the Black Panther hearings when Christopher Coates testified, and it sure did. Glenn Reynolds:

Front page of Daily Caller: Colbert. Drudge led with Colbert until the news of the Klein & Zucker firings came out. Limbaugh led off today talking about Colbert. NRO has covered Colbert at The Corner, but not Coates. Washington Examiner headline: Colbert. Looking around other sites, I see more about Colbert than Coates.

What is the MSM ignoring? Only the fact that Coates, taking whistleblower protection, testified why the case against the Black Panthers was dismissed: (PDF of testimony here)

...the result of their deep-seated opposition to the equal enforcement of the VRA [Voter Rights Act] against racial minorities and for the protection of whites who have been discriminated against.

How wide was the opposition to the equal enforcement of the law in the Black Panther case?

I talked with one career attorney with whom I had previously worked successfully in a voting case and ask him whether he might be interested in working on the Ike Brown case. He informed me in no uncertain terms that he had not come to the Voting Section to sue African American defendants. One of the social scientists who worked in the Voting Section and whose responsibility it was to do past and present research into a local jurisdiction's history flatly refused to participate in the investigation. On another occasion, a Voting Section career attorney informed me that he was opposed to bringing voting rights cases against African American defendants, such as in the Ike Brown case, until we reached the day when the socioeconomic status of blacks in Mississippi was the same as the socio-economic status of whites living there.

More example of the widespread opposition to enforcing the law against black defendants:

Coates did a good job. Julie Fernandes, a political appointee at the DOJ, needs to be brought before the panel and forced to explain her DOJ edict that no voter violations against minorities are to be prosecuted.

SHE IS A REPRESENTATIVE of our Dept of Justice.

Why is she TRASHING the rule of law? The DOJ is either ethical and fulfilling its reason for exisiting OR IT IS CORRUPT and willing to defy reason in order to promote a social favoritism designed to support only certain races.

It is clear our DOJ is corrupt from the top down. Shame on them.

Yup and it worked. ALL of TV is evil. The sheeple who watch TV and have cable and sat TV are supporting this. Fox/Saudia is only marginally better.

I wonder, what would happen if Jet Li made a total fool of himself by turning the Chinese government into a platform for comedy.

We need a law that states that all those members on the “Judiciary” committee must be dressed up like clowns when they hold these “hearings”. They should also be required to be riding unicycles and juggling softballs around the hearing room while they interview clowns like this moron, Colbert.

Just did a quick Google news check fifteen minutes ago and there were 55 news stories covering the Coats testimony. Only 1,057 news stories on the Colbert affair.

Looks like serious Journalism wins!

Sounds like it has been for a while but Obama made it worse.

77 news stories to 1,123... I think we are catching up! Out of the 1,200 news stories about hearing today. Coats is up to 6.4%.

Well, if indeed Jet were to do such a thing, I would take full responsiblity for keeping him in custody. I would supervise his eating, exercise, (hehe) and washing.

What would have happened if blacks had the power over white people? Would there be a civil war between black people to end the enslavement of the white race? Would a majority of blacks stand up for making whites their equal?

Fascinating question. But I don’t think that they would bother since they don’t even care about each other enough to encourage a culture of self respect and discipline.

I sometimes understand why people join groups like this. It makes them important in a way they wouldn’t otherwise be. If they weren’t part of this, they would be part of the daily grind or on welfare, living ordinary lives that wouldn’t fulfill them because they wouldn’t be ‘important’ enough and not the life they feel ‘entitled’ to. It’s how cults attract people, inside the organization they are important, have power that they would otherwise not have. by being part of the Panthers, they get to have snappy uniforms, ranks, and get to put themselves on a webpage with ‘impressive’ sounding names.

The problem is that it isn’t just a club, but a militant movement that advocates exterminating anyone who isn’t black. Or advocates taht everyone on the planet work like fiends to support them so they can live lavishly and in leisure. I simply however cannot understand why welfare funds this.

They deliberately suppress all news of this attempt at restoring justice because they FAVOR the racist lawbreakers, including the one in the White House.
