For newbies, the Tegdew is, formally but not formatically (by this I do not mean to reference formalism as a theoretical body, but rather the semiological but nondiegetic concept of form, both theoretical [projected and received] and Lacanian definitions, classically), in the post-modern sense, excepting populist Western European definitions, is the little, ring-shaped piece of cartilage between the forward-most, left-side antenna of the common North American lobster and the lobster itself. Though small and rubbery, it is edible, and delicious.
