Be sure to tell us what he says.
Where, in other words, is there any substantiation for your claim that there are several types of statutory citizenship (at birth) that don't qualify as natural born? Where does it SAY that they don't qualify as natural born? Does it say that, or is it your interpretation that they do not qualify?
Well...That won’t be much! :-)
Except for the less than 5 minutes that he has treated the Constitution like a joke, Rush has been silent on the necessity to have a natural born citizen for a president.
No, but you and people like you provide excellent fodder for jokes at your expense.
I don’t particularly like it either, but if I can ask, besides being upset at Rush for not promoting this like you’d like him to,
since this is something that is extremely important to, I need to know what concrete steps you have taken to oust Barack Obama? Are you in an ongoing lawsuit? Have you filed suit? Suing Hawaii to release the BC? Planning to have a bunch of armed citizens remove him from the White House?
I am not trying to be cavalier about this, where do you start and what practical steps are you suggesting be taken by people who believe as deeply as you?
Thank you for your open letter, I can understand your not licking the envelope since who knows what germs are lying in wait in that glue.
But I digress, most open letters never reach my desk, which holds the Golden EIB microphone. Such letters are usually handled by my "open letter" secretary, Helen Waite, who is on vacation this week.
So let me suggest the following:
On Monday of next week, please resend your letter to Helen Waite............
Yours Truly,
Rush
P.S. May I suggest you purchase one of those Sleep Number Beds and Mattresses? They are guaranteed to relieve you of your crankiness............
Sincerely,
Rush
What part of "The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that." do you not understand?? U.S. law doesn't define what it means to be a natural born citizen. The Supreme Court told us what the definition is: " ... all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens ..."
The Constitution AND statutory law gives us several types of at birth citizens that don't fit this definition. The 14th amendment doesn't contain a requirement of being born to citizen parents. Statutory law allows the children of unwed mothers, for example, to be citizens at birth, even when born out of the country. Do you understand how neither meets either the requirement of being born in the country or of being born to citizen parents??
You're being melodramatic.
“The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens,as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first.”
Doubts is not the same as a definitive ruling, no wonder you had to butcher the quote to try to get it to say what you wanted it to say!

Also...I suggest that you read the book “It Can't Happen Here” by Sinclair Lewis, published in 1935.
Sorry, Rush, I **love** winter. I am a hard core double black diamond and chute skier. ( If you are, indeed, Rush.)
There is absolutely no evidence that obama was born anywhere outside the country. There is some reason he is hiding all his documetafion though for sure. But no reason for rush to make it a big deal.
The only thing rush might mention with any seriousness is to ask if Obama possibly attended college as a foreign student, in which case he had to have checked “no” on the box for “are you an American citizen.”

Maybe Rush can read. It is tough to be a birther and still be able to read...
Are you familiar with the common law English term “Natural Born Subject”? It is a phrase every Founder would have been familiar with...
Problem is that this birther issue is kind of like UFOs and is being treated this way because of that.
Those believing in Bigfoot and UFOs have a great passion, but lack credible proof.
Come up with credible verifiable proof and I think Limbaugh and the world will listen. Until then, the issue isn't where the action is these days.
Vattel never said or wrote “Natural Born Citizen”. He wrote “The native, or indigenous...”, and 10 years AFTER the Constitution was written, a translator turned that into NBC.
The translator may have pulled the phrase from the Constitution, but the Constitution most certainly did NOT take it from Vattel.
Edge919 has had it pointed out to him, at least a dozen times, that the passage from the Minor decision, which he so loves to rip out of context, doesn't support his argument if read in in context.
And yet, he keeps posting, re-posting it, and posting it again, as if it were somehow definitive proof of his position.
I don't get it, edge. Why do you do this? Why do you keep quoting the same passage, over and over again, after having been shown many times that it doesn't support your argument?
Do you just enjoy being proved wrong again and again on the same point?
