It appears many people do not get Rush when he is totally honest about his show when he says “Monday through Thursday, I talk about what interests ME.” He talks about the things that are interesting to him, because he knows about them, he studies them, he is intrigued about them, he does his best when he is talking about something he’s interested in and not bored by. He knows for him being a good entertainer is keep the audience interested and he has found that over the years he can do that the best by talking about what interests HIM, as most of the time what interests him, are also things that most other people are also interested in.

There is a solution.
Start your own radio program and say what you want about what you want.

"only a FOOL would expect you to defend the Constitution in the face of real tyranny, tanks in the streets, and cattle cars filled to the brim?"

More than a little melodramatic.

” If you are a citizen via the natural act of being born, you are a natural born citizen”.

Sorry that is not correct. A natural-born citizen has 2 legal citizen parents. By his own admission in his books, 0’s father was a Kenyan citizen/British subject and his mother was not old enough to confer citizenship on him. He could have been born on the steps of the White House and it wouldn’t matter - he still would not be natural-born. It’s really not complicated - but nobody wants to touch it.

“Simply calling it a minor detail is cowardly.”

It’s something like Comedy Central having a great deal of fun lampooning domestic religious `fundamentalists’, AKA “Christians” while censoring itself from depicting foreign `fundamentalists’, AKA `Mooselimbs’.

Anyone who isn’t actively challenging this fraud’s credentials, as he prods us on to serfdom, is either queer, a steer or both.

“You also have the basic problem that destroys just about every government-related conspiracy theory: how does one keep such a huge secret in an open society?”

I agree about the secret-keeping. Who do you think hid all his background information?

What ever happened to that story about someone in Il politics challebging Obama’s desire to run for president. supposedly he told Obama he was not qualified to run because he wasn’t an American born citizen and Obama replied “so what”. I have seen it at least twice but no one ever found the source and investigated it.

cattle cars filled to the brim?

Modern livestock transport is safe and reasonably stress-free for the livestock.

Another one of those bogus things floating around in this whole mess. The accusation was that it came up during a Keyes/Obama debate but even Keyes and his campaign manager denied it ever happened.

This probably is a good reflection why Rush doesn’t approach the subject- there is far too much BS floating around on this from all sides.

Rush and the other highly rated talk show hosts have to play footsie on the birther issue - being neither for it or against it. If they declare firmly either way, they risk losing a large part of their audiences.

Also, I doubt that Rush buys into this. If he does, he deserves to be laughed off the air.

Levin is who surprises me. He thinks hes an expert on the constitution yet has never talked about the Obama’s father being a British citizen.

I would love to know his opinion on that. Its like they all have a list of things that are not to be discussed or can only go so far.

Mark Levin on Obama: “He is not a dictator even though he acts like one, sounds like one, and thinks like one. There I said it.” Said what? This statement makes no sense at all.

The so called requirement for having two citizen parents is spelled out nowhere in U.S. law or precedent, and Kim Wong Ark was found to be “natural born” according to US case law in accordance with the principle spelled out in English law that would make him “natural born”.

Kim Wong Ark had two non-citizen parents, yet was a US citizen at birth and was found by US law to be “natural born”.

President Woodrow Wilson's mother was a British subject when he was born. Was Woodrow Wilson not a natural born citizen of these United States?

See post 30. What I said about Rush also applies to other talk show hosts with large audiences.

It is interesting that in Article I Section 2 of the Constitution speaking to eligibility of Representatives and Section 3 speaking to eligibility of Senators that the Founders stipulated very simply ‘Citizen’ only. In contrast in Article II Section I the Founders explicitly declared that future persons to be eligible for President must be a ‘natural born citizen ‘. I don’t believe these educated, versed in law Founders would have been haphazzard when it came to embedding different terminology as to eligibility. There were deliberate intentions for stipulating differences as to citizen.

Indeed, perfectly in keeping with there being two, and only two, types of US citizenship - to go with the two, and only two, ways of becoming a US citizen.

They were saying that citizens that were not natural born (i.e. naturalized) were perfectly able to serve as Senators and Representatives, but not the Presidency.

Kim Ark’s parents evidently met this criteria: “a permanent domicile and residence in the United States, and are there carrying on business, and are not employed in any diplomatic or official capacity under the emperor of China” was a U.S. Citizen.”

BO senior did not have a permanent domicile and residence and was not carrying on business - he was here on a student visa.

My point is that the so called requirement of having two citizen parents seems to be off by TWO.

It seems that one need not have EITHER parent be a citizen to be considered “natural born” according to US law citing English precedent, as was the case with Kim Wong Ark.

Really US law only seems to recognize two types of citizenship and only two ways of becoming a citizen. I have heard various terms to describe this supposed third type of citizen “native born”, “naturalized at birth via statute”, etc; there only drawback being that they were invented out of whole cloth to suite the needs of the moment.

My view of the law was exactly this long before 0bama made the scene, and further research into the matter has only made me more confident that when and if there ever is a definitive ruling - the ruling will be that a natural born citizen is one who was born a citizen.

At this point I find it more fruitful, constructive, and conservative to fight 0bama at the ballot box rather than trying to get him disqualified via a convenient interpretation of the law.
