Is Karl Rove smarter than we think?

Karl Rove just might be too smart by half.

If HE trashes O’Donnel (and makes her a sympathetic figure) then the Democraps can’t do it later

(and you know they would be using ALL of Rove’s stuff... but it would be very different coming from them)

It is like this- if your opponent knows you cheated on your wife and is prepared to floor you with it at a debate- you start your debate by saying “Yes, I cheated on my wife, but at least I am not as bad as my opponent who created the housing melt down...”

Now she should have the cash to have staff carry the water and handle the media chores. She can focus her energy on her strengths, one of which is an appealing public image. Let the pros handle the messages and rebuttals.

It looks like the big challenge will be finding the right people. It's becoming apparent that too many of the people that have been involved in Republican politics for a long time are the enemy within.

"LOL.... Bob Shrum has 40 years of "managing candidates." "

Did Bob Shrum ever get a candidate elected to the Oval Office, twice? Did Bob Shrum get a candidate elected as governor, twice? Did Bob Shrum help the democrats hold the Executive branch, and both houses of congress for four years?

Yeah, you "destroyed" that argument. /s

Nonsense. If he is so certain she is going to lose then why is he doing everything he can to help that along.

If "we" don't, then yes, he's probably smarter than "we" are.

Elitist nonsense.

I suspected this as his motivation from the get go. Karl is not put off by conservatives. My thought was he was trying to make her look appealing to independents by painting her as a non-establishment candidate. This is the momentum of the moment. Whether it works in DE, who knows, they voted for Biden for how many years? Stupid is as stupid does.

Yes, Rove is a genius. Remember when he said we needed to support amnesty to ensure generations of Hispnaics would vote for Republicans the way Blacks voted for Dems. Yet their biggest champion for amnesty in the GOP was deserted and lost his presidential bid when they sided with Obama. Remember when the genuis had Bush and Santorum back Specter and thus not only did Santorum lose his election but Specter changed parties a few years later. Remember when they past the expansion of big government with assurances it would lock in the senior citizen vote and then they deserted the GOP. Remember when he predicted their policies would bring about decades of Republican rule and Bush said the old paradign of conservatism was dead and was proud of that? Remember when they were so desperate to hang onto Chafee’s seat they negelected other close seats that were more “winnable”.

Yeah, genius.

"Elitist nonsense."

Is what someone might say if they can't string together more than a sentence of intellectual thought. Just saying.

No way is this true. I saw a clip of him claiming that he was one of the firsts..if not first..to endorse Christine.

I believe this to be a flat out lie.

Oh, well then why stop there. Maybe the Republicans concocted the last years of the Bush presidency knowing it would lead to an Obama presidency and liberal dominance in D.C. and that would cause such a backlash that not only would Democrats go down in historic defeat but they knew some of their old friends would be swept away in primary challenges. Something they could accept for the greater good because that new blood would allow them to make good on the promises they have been making their base for the last 40 years! They have our best interests at heart and it was an elaborate plan put into effect back in the days of Goldwater that is only now maturing.

Apologies to Karl Rove, GWB, McConnell etc...for “misunderestimating” you.

Yes, it’s the “third time” you’ve proven you have nothing of interest to add to the conversation. But thanks for trying.

It doesn’t take a “genius” of Rove’s stature to know that Castle had a better chance of beating Coons then O’Donnell.

What you need to explain is, why after the Republicans in Delaware selected O’Donnell to be their candidate, Rove has done nothing but work to make sure she loses.

Karl Rove holds no position in the Republican Party. He is a political pundit who gets paid to give his opinions. He gave one in this case that most on this board disagree with. I am willing to bet that most of those same people would agree with 90-95 percent of his opinions on other political matters. But he is dead wrong on this one so lets just shoot him on the spot.

Sadly, no .
Rove was a bitter spiteful elitist fool who was ticked that his brilliant demands were no obeyed period by O’ Donnell.
His glory days are over and he should just SHUT UP AND GO AWAY NOW.

This turkey is the clown whose stupid strategies on ramming thru amnesty in 2005 and never counter attacking the Dems as they viciously attacked Bush and the Iraqi war led to the 2006 midterm disasters.
