She sure is impressed with herself. Took her 45 seconds just to rattle off her “titles”. Somebody has GOT to make this the final nail in the coffin for dems in November. Not just Rush, Glenn and Mark. This is a felony, is it not?

She danced on the line, but I don't think she crossed it. Leaving a voicemail was incredibly stupid. However, there is no actual threat in the message. You can argue that she implies influence with the donation, but not enough to remove reasonable doubt. I must admit, I have NO idea what the shadow member representing the District of Columbia needs with donations.

After reading the article in its entirety and reviewing the audio tape as well, the following is worthy of note:
1. This elected official knows the difference from right and wrong. She, like so many others in public office, does not believe that they will ever be held accountable for their actions.
2. If you change the characters around in this Play, the caller(NORTON) could be a strong arm enforcer of a crime family visiting someone behind on his gambling debts. The visit is being made on behalf of the enforcers mob boss(PELOSI).
3. Some Public officials could make the argument that partaking in this sort of activity is justified similar to the way a member of a cult or religious sect can justify anything ranging from a wife beating to an honor killing. (Most FREEPERS can see where I am going with this)
I am sure Ms. Norton will get reelected with or without the gift she is attempting to extract from the person being called. Just imagine for a minute how another member of Congress who is not in a safe seat may sound in a secretly recorded conversation such as this one.
If you can't imagine it, just think 'BLAGO' and it will come to you!

felony?
The article states it’s a misdemeanor. And I’m sure Holder will get right on this just as soon as he’s done going after law enforcement in Arizona and the hunters in Kansas.

If somebody can check records and she phoned from Federal property (seems likely but not certain) I believe election law was broken. If nothing else, the stupidity of leaving a voice mail like this is amazing, even for a Dem (the party of astronauts on Mars and Guam capsizing).

That’s it, plain and simple. You took the words right out of my mouth. Why all the investigation when you have proof positive? Corruption, so bold and brazen! These people KNOW that they are safe, that nothing will happen to them because they are Democrat, much less a black and a woman! She knows she is holding all the cards. Just another slam dunk insult to the political system of our country. To ad injury to insult the Country Club RINO Elitist just set back and wait for their turn at it! Throw All of them OUT!

The more corrupt the (mostly Dem) politicians are, the more overt their corruption, the stricter the ethics laws they pass to ensure that we, the ordinary people working for the federal government, act in an ethical manner. I just had to take the ethics law course again yesterday. It's an annual requirement. If I, for example, invite salespeople to come give a demonstration, I can't allow them to bring refreshments, because that would LOOK LIKE they were trying to unduly influence my decision whether to buy their products. But the politicians pocket HUGE "donations" from lobbyists all the time in exchange for slipping "favors" into bills.
It would be nice to see the politicians actually have to obey the laws they make for federal employees...
