If only the fantasy were true: If only there actually were a dominant, pro-American, echt moderate Islam, an ideology so dedicated to human rights, so sternly set against savagery, that acts of terrorism were, by definition, “un-Islamic activity.” Imagine an Islam that, far from a liability, proved an asset (indeed, an indispensable asset) in combating the threat against us. Imagine that we could accurately call the threat mere “extremism” — no “Islamic” (or even “Islamist”) modifier being necessary because the “extremists” truly were a tiny, aberrant band, fraudulently “hijacking” a great religion.

If the fantasy were true, who among us would not be proud to mark the annual observance of September 11 by breaking ground on a $100 million Islamic center cum mosque at the site of the most horrific attack in American history? In the nine years since the atrocities that claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 Americans at the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and a field in Shanksville, Pa., such an Islam — if it really existed — would have spearheaded the defeat of America’s enemies.
Looking for this Islam is akin to looking for the 13th Imam. So many of us revel in our own high-mindedness while ignoring the truth.
Such an Islam, over nine long years, would have risen up and made itself heard. It would have identified by name and condemned with moral outrage the imposters purporting to act in its name.What excruciating truths have we yet failed to grasp on this ninth anniversary of 9/11? The first is that such an Islam does not exist.
No, it does not exist. It doesn't exist in part because there is no "Islam." There are thousands of Islams. One cannot separate the religion from the state.

So, Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance.
How about a deal? Let us open a few churches in Iran and Saudi Arabia, then you open your Mosque?
Also, if Muslims are peace-loving people, why is their ‘outcry’ and violence against our troops used as the justification for allowing the Mosque?
Islam is at war with non-Muslim. Every Muslim is at war with non-Muslims. The Koran requires it. If they are peaceful and quiet, it is because they have not reached the stage of population level to start making demands.
The global Islamic state — one world ruled by Islam — is the goal of Muslims. It is a unique ‘religion’ in that it is more than a religion. It is a political, legal, societal system that tolerates no other religion. Infidels are second class citizens.
The West ignores centuries and centuries of the war with Islam. Is it better to admit there is an ongoing war, or to be ignorant of its existence?
Fantasy Islam... wow, I like that moniker. If you take the character of Islam as displayed across the world stage, coupled with Louis Farrakhan’s black Islam in the US, the muzzies in France and Europe, and the bull headedness of the “moderate” muzzies in the US, you actually only have raw evidence if Islam’s intentions world wide. To deny what your eyes and ears tell you, is not only fantasy, it is insane.
One brand of Islam is stabbing you in the back while the other is soothing with a quaint smile, telling you it will be alright and to just relax while the knife is twisting. The knife tip has been inserted in America’s back, the moderates are quaintly smiling... who are the sane among us?

The last 1400 years rings loud in my ears and the encroachment is near overwhelming. We are not alone in this struggle and to not admit it or recognize it is only sticking out heads in the sand leaving ourselves fully exposed.
This current administration is going to get us killed!

He (Rauf) has also involved himself with the Muslim Brotherhood, the parent organization of Hamas that is dedicated to destroying Israel and bringing the world under Shariah Law.
Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, the founder of the American-Islamic Forum for Democracy, opposes Imam Rauf’s project partially because of his reluctance to confront the Muslim Brotherhood.
He points out that Rauf describes top Brotherhood theologian Sheikh Yousef al-Qaradawi as a “moderate” in his book despite his history of anti-Semitism, endorsement of suicide bombings and Hamas, support for the killing if U.S. soldiers in Muslim lands, and calls for Muslims to wage jihad against Israel until it’s destroyed.
“You now lecture Americans that WTC mosque protests are ‘politically motivated’ and ‘go against the American principle of church and state.’
Yet you ignore the wide global prevalence of far more dangerous theo-political groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and all of its violent and nonviolent offshoots,” Jasser writes.
Please forgive my brazen arrogance in inserting here, a reply I placed in another thread a while ago; simply because I think it needs REPEATING: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A MODERATE MUSLIM!
I think we have a contradiction in terms, or something. There is no such thing as a muslim who does not support sharia law; ergo, there is no such thing as a moderate muslim. There are muslims who are temporarily silent or withdrawn for strategical reasons, etc., but who are liable to revert to genuine muslim conduct and begin obeying the koran at any moment.
Many of the muslims in the USA right now, especially females, are merely here to breed and bear children as part of islam’s overall strategy. Many of the men are of that sort, as well. But there are some muslim males who are hatching mayhem upon our country from under cover.
I liken it to leaving live hand grenades lying around, uncontrolled, un-surveiled, with the potential to explode at any moment. And explode, they will. Just like the nineteen hijackers did on 9/11/01!
Meanwhile, grandma gets stripsearched at the airport while the swarthy bearded ones and the females behind veils go through Security like “tweet” through a tin whistle!
