Don't you dare threaten us!

Item #1

Imam: Moving Mosque Could Ignite Violence

"NEW YORK -- The imam behind a proposed Islamic community center and mosque near ground zero cautioned Wednesday that moving the facility could cause a violent backlash from Muslim extremists and endanger national security.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf told CNN that the discourse surrounding the center has become so politicized that moving it could strengthen the ability of extremists abroad to recruit and wage attacks against Americans, including troops fighting in the Middle East."

Item #2

After a year of humiliating setbacks, United Nations Secretary General Ban ki-Moon and about 60 of his top lieutenants -- the top brass of the entire U.N. system -- spent their Labor Day weekend at a remote Austrian Alpine retreat, discussing ways to put their sprawling organization in charge of the world's agenda.

Details concerning the two-day, closed-door sessions in the comfortable village of Alpbach were closely guarded. Nonetheless, position papers for the meeting obtained by Fox News indicate that the topics included:

-- how to restore "climate change" as a top global priority after the fiasco of last year's Copenhagen summit;

-- how to continue to try to make global redistribution of wealth the real basis of that climate agenda, and widen the discussion further to encompass the idea of "global public goods";

-- how to keep growing U.N. peacekeeping efforts into missions involved in the police, courts, legal systems and other aspects of strife-torn countries; how to capitalize on the global tide of migrants from poor nations to rich ones, to encompass a new "international migration governance framework";

-- how to make "clever" use of new technologies to deepen direct ties with what the U.N. calls "civil society," meaning novel ways to bypass its member nation states and deal directly with constituencies that support U.N. agendas.

-----

In the first it is interesting to note that the left-wing site mediamatters.org almost instantly put up a story backing Rauf claiming that U.S. General David Petraeus said the same thing in regard to the potential of inflaming Muslims to violence against U.S. troops. The left apparently considers all such warnings to be equivalent. That a radical Imam and the top United States General surely meant the exact same thing. Conflating the two is another sign of the gross disconnect of the left from a sovereign America.

On the subject of a sovereign America. The second item speaks to that directly. Again the left agrees with the basic thrust of what the United Nations will, apparently, seek to do. And the left doesn't understand why conservatives find the United Nations and the views of the current left in our country to be of grave concern.

The politics of fear and hate being played on the left is a sad testament to the failure of the left to win the debate. Then again, the left cares much more about the hearts and minds of the Taliban than it does about the hearts and minds of Americans. A truth proven constantly.

It’s like the libtard Beck quoated about Martin Luther King and the Black Panthers. THey claimed King couldn’t have accomplished what he did without the “threat” of violence from the anthers. This guy wants to play “good cop” to Al Queda’s “bad cop”.

Screw ‘em both, I say.

Soverignity is the most hated word of the one worlders!

They would have us to become weak that we could all be winners!

False peace makers would have us advertise we have no weapons to defend our homes, then prison us for defending our homes, properties and families!

A violent backlash? Like that’s never happened before. If someone in the West breaks wind rage boy and his ilk go to the streets. It’s like they have no lives and sit around waiting to be “enraged”. Nuke ‘em all and the world will be a safer and saner place. Start with the house of Saud. Boy am I in trouble now.

This entire argument is ridiculous. The Islamic movement has the singular intention of wiping out anyone who opposes/disagrees with it. If you want to remove Islam from the U.S. (recommended), it wishes to destroy you. If you don't remove Islam from the U.S., it will destroy you anyway. If you burn the Qu'ran (not a useful activity anyway), it will destroy you. If you don't, it will destroy your Bible and replace it with the Qu'ran anyway. To the Islamic mind, it doesn't matter what you do -- you are to submit to Islam no matter what happens. The sad fact is our leadership simply can not see that.

The only solution to the entire problem is to in an as-civily possible (in spite of protests and subsequent violence) to remove all mosques and all of those who insist on following Islam from the country as soon as possible. In other words, a mass deportation. One can NOT allow the freedom to practice Islam into a nation that does not practice Islam. Islam will eventually rule. That is a fact of history.

They also blame the women when they get raped. So they blame the victims for the crimes of others. It’s an intrinsic Islam belief system.

As I read this, the author does not believe the Rauf threat & the Patraeus warning are the same. I certainly DO think they are the same.

Rauf, of course, is repeating the standard muslim threat of submit or die. Patraeus is echoing that threat, from the perspective of a potential victim.

Can you imagine Patton, Bradley, or MacArthur telling their troops & US citizens not to desecrate Mein Kampf or the Swastika for fear it might cause Allied casualties? How ridiculous! More likely, Patton would stand on the Siegfried Line & burn both while begging the Nazis to come & fight.

(Speaking of begging, Geraldo, on Fox & Friends, just BEGGED Rauf to build the GZ mosque somewhere else. Perhaps if Patraeus were to get on his knees & beg, the Taliban would go home in peace. Or, if ALL of America begs sincerely, muslims would forgive America for everything & be our BFFs forever.)

You do not appease your enemies, you kill them. You do not respect their twisted ideology, you destroy it. And you never BOW to their demands, no matter what threats they make.

If 1 million muslims take up arms against the US because of the koran burning, then that gives our troops just that many more targets to shoot. If we need more firepower to kill these enemies, then let's start carpet bombing & use EVERY weapon in our arsenal to WIN THIS WAR. FORGET these ridiculous ROEs, nation building, & appeasement. Just kill the enemy before they kill us. While we're at it, arrest & hang Karzai & Co. They are a part of the problem, not part the solution.

I am extremely disappointed in Patraeus’ statement. Basically, he is asking us to never insult muslims, no matter how much they insult us.

It doesn’t take much to set these guys off. They’re still ticked off about the outcome of the battle of Lepanto, and the battle of Vienna made them so mad that they chose the anniversary of that victory to destroy the World Trade Center.
