I do run Vista on a 1 gig system, my Acer laptop, actually 958 megs, and it does boot up a little slow. I do need to get some crap off the drive though. Vista boots up much better on this 2 gig system, my E-Machine. The laptop in a Semphron (Athlon) that runs at 1.8 GHz and my desktop is a Athlon that runs at 1.6 GHz.
