Sarah Palin: 'We like what we're doing' [Briefly talks to jourbalists at Reagan Nat'l Airport]

A casually-dressed Sarah Palin talked briefly with POLITICO as she walked through Reagan National Airport on her way out of town after speaking at Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally on the Natonal Mall.

Holding her BlackBerry up with one hand, she lamented that the Associated Press had only pegged attendance as "tens of thousands."

Asked if there were more than 100,000 people there, Palin said: "Oh yeah."

Smiling broadly, the former governor described the event as inspirational and good-naturedly chided a reporter for not attending.

Told that there was some chatter online about the prospect of a Palin-Beck presidential ticket, she laughed and said: "We like what we're doing now."

Palin was joined by her mother and a small coterie of private security guards dressed in business suits and with earpieces.

Wearing sunglasses and an Oklahoma Sooners T-shirt, the Alaskan was largely unrecognized as she walked toward the short security line at the airport's "C" concourse on a slow afternoon.

Once she was through security and in the terminal, though, more people recognized her...

Funny you should say that. We were just remarking today about the lack of security for her this past Friday where she spoke at the Hershey Lodge.

She spent Thursday night there and ran a few miles early morning on the bike paths with little security.
Some other runners were stunned when they saw her.
