Freepers,
I remember a live video of a group of Katrina evacuees who had come to Houston in a school bus.
As the bus arrived, all the usual Media suspects were lined up waiting to interview the people as they got off the bus. The first question asked was, "What do you think of Bush abandoning you, etc." (The Media meme). The answer shocked everyone as the woman first off the bus hollered, "Bush? That Ray Nagin left us there to die! Kathleen Blanco left us there to die." (etc.) She finished by saying, "They sure sent the busses around when they wanted us to vote."
If anyone remembers this, and knows where to find this video, it would be quite a powerful reply to the current Media meme reinforcement...
I see 'em every time I watch an episode of COPS...
LOL
History Channel did a one hour Gangland show about the vermin from NOLA.
On a related note, the Austin Film Festival recently held a casting call for those who could look "down and out" and dress "drabbily" for a Bill White commercial!!
I met a couple of Katrina evacuees from NOLA —good working class folks who were black and hardcore democrats—and their anger was directed at Mayor Nagin.
They were furious that he split town during the hurricane and then had the balz to blame Bush for the pitiful FEMA response.
Nagin and his city government are poster children for the horrors of liberalism. Remember when they hunted for the 50 ‘missing’ police officers as they tried to get all hands on deck for rescue and clean up? The ubercorrupt bastiges tried to play the old ‘we sent them vegas for some r & r’ when it turns out they were FICTITOUS recipients of fraudulent paychecks.
Yep, let Dems take over America and America will look like NOLA and Detroit. How damn blind must our idiot Democrat friends be to not see this?
Which one?
I paged through the lot of those, and did some alternate searches. Sadly, no dice.
It is a devastating video.
Somebody out there knows...
Thanks for looking!

Heh. “The Minister Vanishes...”
I admit that it is probably ‘disappeared’ from the collective memory. IIRC, it was on the local news feed at the time here in Houston but it was the national networks who were in front asking the questions.
The looks on the faces of the network people were simply priceless...
Hope you find it. I’d like to see it.
I would like to see that also.
FYI, looking for a Houston TV interview of Katrina evacuees.
As a Katrana survivor, myself, and one that saw the politicians bring the buses around for election time, it is all too true! Nanny Blanco had no idea what to do, and froze. “Chocolate City” Nagin, the former CEO of Cox Cable, couldn’t figure out what to do to save his image. All the time, All those school buses just sat in water, and didn’t move. Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard got on the radio that night, and told everybody that couldn’t get out of town, “that it was their own fault!” (I heard this one myself!) Not for nothing, Greyhound Bus Line ordered cessation of operations to the New Orleans area as of noon, the day before the storm came! So, without a car, and no intracity busline, we were stuck!
