GOP Strategist Says RNC Chair Michael Steele “Has Obviously Been a Disaster” – Video

Here is video of Republican Strategist Ed Rollins on Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer, where he was asked if the Republican Party needed to “do something” about RNC Chair Michael Steele. Schieffer had pointed out they had Ed Gillispe on because Steele would not come on the program because he now has a “bunker” mentality with all the controversy surrounding him.

Rollins said there is “no time” to do anything about Steele right now, but added there is no doubt that Steele has “obviously been a disaster,” and has “failed miserably.”

Steele isn’t the only disaster in the RNC.

(so called Republican Strategist) Ed Rollins is a slime ball who crawled out of the swamp to interject division into GOP prior to Nov elections. May he not find is way back to the swamp, and instead get run over by a 16 wheeler (politically speaking, of course)

Hmm ~ we are pretty much past the primaries so there's not much you can do about RINOs. On the other hand, we have the people who earn the title of "stupid party" for the Republicans.

Those are the guys who take a look at RNC Chairman Steele, who has a pretty decent winning record, and sneer at it.

After the Republicans retake the Senate and the House this November I bet dollars to doughnuts those same pukes will continue to sneer at Steele.

Frankly, we need to get rid of those guys ~ and I'm thinking of people like Rollins.

Not that I'm defending Steele, but it's like your winning shirt, and when you wear it YOUR TEAM WINS. Steele's got the shirt even if he's not on the field.

In politics winning isn't everything, it's the ONLY thing.

When was the last time Ed Rollins actually worked for a bona fide GOP candidate, much less one that won office?

Ed Rollins? I thought he was dead. At least I know he is dead politically.

Yeah, Steele was a horrible pick to head the RNC. We all know why he was chosen for the post.

Steele more than made up for any of his problems because his brave and admirable stand against Obama’s War. He is hated by many “GOP strategists” because, at least on this issue, he wants to offer a choice not an echo.

The true “rinos” are those who, unlike Steele, are shills for Obama’s War.

I’m no fan of Steele. But Ed Rollins is a real sleazebag.

Not that I'm defending Steele,

I hope not! He's been horrible. Any gains made will be in spite of, not because of Steele!

Just shows that pubbies must be racist if they call for Steele to go!

(at least that’s what the rats would call justice)

Hey, we’e seen our First Team do far worse. Don’t pay attention to what he says ~ focus on winning elections and sending the Democrats packing back to Mecca.

Seriously, can anybody name a single thing Steele has done that hasn't been detrimental to the party? Can you really defend a single stupid thing he has done or said. The strip joints? The incredibly bad fund raising? The crack about "Obama's War" (you know, the one in the country we invaded to uproot the 9/11 plotters way before Obama came on the scene)? The mealy mouthed blathering about Republican racism?

What exactly has this horrible excuse done, other than screw up in a such colossal fashion that it makes you seriously wonder if he's even really on our team?

I remember Rollins in 93’ when he won N.J. for Christine Todd Whitman. Made me laugh. He’s successful. Give him his due.

I didn’t like Steele but said I would give him a chance.

It didn’t take long for him to use up his chance by apologizing for Rush.
