THE TINGLER scared me so bad I spent most of the movie in the lobby. They gave us a white token with a T on it, I think it was to give to the uniformed nurse that was in the lobby if you were having a heart attack from fear.
I saw it at a kids theatre in Houston that always had props and scary add ons and even actors like the nurse, they went to amazing lengths, even using temporary plywood construction for the entrance to make scary structures to match the film of that Saturday's showing when it was horror, which was often.

Thanks, UCANSEE2!
It’s a really great movie, and I especially love the fearless Mexican Air Force!

I don’t know what the movie was (something about giant crabs, I THINK), but there was a scene that kept me awake with nightmares for weeks (I was about six, I think). People in a cave hiding from giant whatever they were things. Rocks falling all around in cave. Abruptly, man’s hand begins moving away from his arm...rock fell on it and severed it, but he didn’t realize it until that moment. ARRGH! Scared me to death!
Anyone know the movie?

The Changeling with George C. Scott is one of my favorite ghost movies. The Uninvited (1944) with Ray Milland is another.

Another favorite they would play on New Year’s eve. Is this the Ice Station Zebra? Or is that another movie?

As a kid, The Blob.
As a teenager, Friday the 13th.
In fact, Friday the 13th is the last horror movie I've ever seen.
Unless you count Days of Thunder or Top Gun.
No, wait, those were horrible movies.

I know. I laugh at most of the “special effects” of the 50s and 60s, and even the 70s.
