When my daughter was about four, she had very long, blonde hair and loved to turn the channel on to static, touch the t.v., and say “there heeeere!” Only the adults jumped in the room.
Poltergeist!
I saw it at the theater with my friend Daphne, and when my Mom and I went to drop her off at home afterward, we could all see through the sliding glass door that her family’s apartment was completely dark - except the TV in the living room was on.
As for me, I slept in the exact center of my bed for a long, long time, and I certainly wouldn’t reach down to pick anything up off the floor no matter what it was.
