I have always felt that the Saudis simply want their control over Iran acknowledged in the end; I think Ahmadinejad is probably doing their bidding, at least indirectly, but when they feel that he has achieved what he can (destruction of Israel), they want the credit. Obama seems to be very close to him and to the Saudis, so I’d say there’s a bit of collusion there. Good cop, bad cop.
The Saudis have always managed to distance themselves from their evildoing, funding it and possibly even directing it, but always letting some lesser country or leader take the blame.

I agree. Iran is the last Shiite stronghold. Sunni hate the Shiite and Saudi Arabia, Obama and most Mid Easter countries are all Sunni. They will all join Israel in taking out the leadership in Iranl.
