News that Russia will load nuclear fuel rods into an Iranian reactor has touched off a countdown to a point of no return, a deadline by which Israel would have to launch an attack on Iran's Bushehr reactor before it becomes effectively "immune" to any assault, says former Bush administration U.N. Ambassador John R. Bolton.
Once the fuel rods are loaded, Bolton told Fox News on Friday afternoon, "it makes it essentially immune from attack by Israel. Because once the rods are in the reactor an attack on the reactor risks spreading radiation in the air, and perhaps into the water of the Persian Gulf."
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin declared in March that Russia would start the Bushehr reactor this summer. But the announcement from a spokesman for Russia's state atomic agency to Reuters Friday sent international diplomats scrambling to head off a crisis.
The story immediately became front-page news in Israel, which has laid precise plans to carry out an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities while going along with President Obama's plans to use international sanctions and diplomatic persuasion to convince Iran's clerics not to go nuclear.

I’m not sure this is that much of a consideration.
That’s probably why Obama is positioning our fleet there. He wants to prevent Israel from fighting back while it still can.
I agree. You can learn a lot from the Russians (Chernobyl).
I’m not sure that it is not too late anyway. Doubt that the Israeli leadership had the guts to attack even though it may lead to their demise. Seems today that too many are against Israel and too few for (biblical)...
I imagine that things will happen regardless of how this plays out...

Don’t kid yourself. Obama takes his orders from the Saudis, just like Israel does, and the Saudis wan Iran taken out.

Russia is our enemy - make no mistake. Their goal is worldwide chaos and showing America as a paper tiger (which under Obama may be the case). Israel hopefully will do the dirty work that needs to be done — our PINO makes me very nauseous.

I have always felt that the Saudis simply want their control over Iran acknowledged in the end; I think Ahmadinejad is probably doing their bidding, at least indirectly, but when they feel that he has achieved what he can (destruction of Israel), they want the credit. Obama seems to be very close to him and to the Saudis, so I’d say there’s a bit of collusion there. Good cop, bad cop.
The Saudis have always managed to distance themselves from their evildoing, funding it and possibly even directing it, but always letting some lesser country or leader take the blame.

I agree. Iran is the last Shiite stronghold. Sunni hate the Shiite and Saudi Arabia, Obama and most Mid Easter countries are all Sunni. They will all join Israel in taking out the leadership in Iranl.

Almost. Word is that Israel’s intelligence services have concluded that airstrikes against Iran’s nuclear weapons program would be near ineffectual as it relates to halting Iran’s quest to obtain nuclear weapons...in short, that Iran’s nuclear weapons program is too far along to be halted or deterred. Additionally, as it pertains to implications and ramifications, the negatives of an Israeli airstrike far outweigh the benefits being Iran would use its proxies HAMAS and Hezbollah against Israel.
As such, I would wager that this idiot-ridden administration has and is simply going to allow Iran to become a nuclear fact, and that it is, and has been, attempting to cow-tie Israel into doing likewise (i.e.: by trying to convince Israel that it can play the MAD nuclear deterrence game with Iran). Total failure there. =.=
