Maxine Waters: The Obama financial reform is about access for the minorities and women

Congresswoman Maxine Waters put in the spotlight on the Obama financial reform pointing out that the legislation goes above and beyond to secure access to money for minorities and women:

I was honored to serve on the conference committee of the Wall-street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. I am happy to say that much of the legislation I authored has access for women and minority rights, for shareholders more accountable Consumer Protection Bureau and assistance for struggling and unemployed homeowners was included in the final legislation that was signed by President Obama.

I am particularly proud of offices of minority and women inclusion that will be set up at the federal government financial institutions such as FDIC. All these agencies continuing my work about access… Hear me clearly: because of the need of access, work that I have done for many years, now opened up a new opportunities by creating offices of minorities and women assistance at FDIC, the Treasury Department, the Federal Reserve among other to deal with the historic lack of access that minority and women individuals institutions have had in hiring, decisions making, contracting opportunities.

Historic lack of access! Really? Mrs. Waters is defending herself from allegation that she plugged in for her husband’s bank. He had access to the board of directors. His small minority bank had access to bail-outs.

In fact the tax-payers had to bail-out banks not because of lack of access, but because of the genius government policy forcing banks to give mortgages to folks who couldn’t really afford it.

“I was honored to serve on the conference committee of the Wall-street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. I am happy to say that much of the legislation I authored has access for women and minority rights,”

Muddy Waters: “I don’t know anything about that, but you can axe me anything you want!”

How can it YET be argued that there exist ANY under served people in America when anyone who wants to can enter a hospital, bank, public service agency, etc. in this country, ‘access’ a myriad of publicly available resources, run up a gigantic ‘bill’, have their needs met and walk away NO QUESTIONS ASKED?

That’s utter BS. Woman and minorities have had access to loans for years. It’s been illegal to discriminate against woman and minorities in lending. Waters is telling whoppers in order to back up this federal intervention into banking. I see old Charley is behind it, too.

Shirley Sherrod was giving away mortgages from USDA in Georgia. Did you see the crowd waiting for the government housing? I haven’t seen such hopelessness since I lived in the USSR and folks there were waiting years for their turn to move in to rent a tiny-tiny apartment. Sad.

Which probably explains why the only jobs being created are government jobs for minorities and women.

“That attitude worked so well for mortgages too.”

Yes, bless there little racist selves. There are plenty of people in the country right now who thought they were going to be able to retire, but who lost their savings because the political left blew up the financial foundation of the nation in order to earn points with their favorite groups of ‘victims’.

Maxine is a bitter racist. She strikes me as someone who would behave much like those women in the middle east did (e.g. ululating) when the towers went down.
