Good article. When the population of the US catches on to this we will be getting somewhere. The only purpose of the "hyphen" is to divide Americans. You'll also notice that the hyphen always puts the "American" in the last position!

I worked in a small department once and we went out for a Christmas lunch. The people at the table were from a few different hereitages. There was an Italian, a Pole, two Irish An African-American and me who's pretty much a mongrel American. We all got to talking and the talk turned to Christmas food and how we usually spent Christmas eve and Christmas day. The Italian talked about fish dinners on Christmas eve and the Pole talked about Kielbasa. The Irish talked about huge family dinners.

After a while the African-American commented that she never realized how many different kinds of white people there were. We all had a good laugh but it's true.

WOW he nails it. This guy should have run for president. He’s obviously better qualified than the pres_ _ent we have now.

Unfortunately it will be at least another 50 years (if the Lord tarries) before we see another black elected to the presidency. obama has destroyed race relations in this country. So much progress has been lost.

We should be a color blind society. Martin Luther King Jr said “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

But we have seen in these last few years that the content of the character is nothing while the color of their skin is everything, as long as that color is black. How can we, as white people, get over our racism if they, as black people, shove their racism in our faces every single day?

Are they brain dead or just evil? Both?

Mr. Marcus has the courage to say excellent things in print. He needs to followup, face to face. That’s the way we kill racism; face to face, one on one.

Short, fat, ‘white’, Southern, veteran, part my hair on the left, etc. But please judge me by my character & actions. And, looking you in the eyes, I will promise you that I will do my best to do the same for you.”
