Ever since Obama started chastising the GOP for not coming up with "new" ideas, I've been wondering what "new" ideas could be originating from his administration...
10. Point out how our trillion dollar deficits meet the goal of avoiding gazillion dollar deficits.
9. Hire the first official White House chiropractor under the code name, "Dr. Obowma."
8. Make it crystal clear that the president TOTALLY opposes gay marriage....except in cases where the participants are straight (or gay)...seriously though...yuck... ;-D
7. Muslim outreach will include NASA putting Mars on hold until the president knows the effects of zero gravity on jihad.
6. Extol the virtuous dichotomy of the First Lady being both Obesity Czar and Secretary of Let-Them-Eat-Cake.
5. The president should golf A LOT so the public can associate him with a hero like Tiger Woods.
4. The TOTUS's suggested to the FLOTUS that if its cool with the SCOTUS the POTUS should appoint Barney Frank to a newly formed office of HOMOTUS
3. 90% employment places our economic policy at a 10% rate of success.
2. The president can NEVER be wrong....we need to find 7 more states.
1. Restore the death tax so we can collect a fortune on killing the American Dream.

Obama can you hear me?
raise taxes, repeat 9 times!!!!
ok, so where are the Republican ideas? “Making the Bush tax cuts permanent” as a platform makes Bush still the leader of the party-—a leadership her surrendered forever in 2008 by singing those rebate stimulus checks and then letting gas prices go up to $4 a gallon to kill consumer confidence...not to mention appointing “helicopter Ben “ Bernanke as Fed Chairman and telling people during the 2008 crisis that he didn’t know anything about economics.....
It seems to me silly that Republicans would want to carry the W Bush banner still.....it killed McCain to do so in 2008.......
Stop running on Bush ideas and do something new.....I suggest the party get a clue and realize that a national sales tax or flat rate tax won’t pass muster beyond the party for political and social reasons.....
BUT.....you probably could get people to support replacing PAYROLL taxes and the CORPORATE INCOME tax for consumption taxes.....which would have a major supply-side effect....being that payroll taxes are a first dollar tax in work, PLUS a tax on jobs and wages.....
It should be done incrementally to gain the trust and resoect of the Independents and middle class....
First, you argue that there’s NO REASON WHY survivor’s benefits and disability should come out of the Social Security tax........so you move them into the general fund to be paid for out of general revenues....then
You cut the SS tax to 5% for invididuals and eliminate the business side of it and remove the cap.....and give a tax deduction or even a credit for paying that 5%.
Then you abolish the Medicare tax and move all Medicare onto the general fund to be paid out of general revenues..
And you eliminate the corporate income tax and bring back the Clinton tax code-———
You’ve basically eliminated the business side of payroll tax and cut the individual side from about 15% first dollar to 5%, but with tax deductibility.
You can say you’ve REALLY given a pro-growth middle class tax cut that the middle class REALLY could see on their paychecks and this also would be a bonanza for new and small business and businesspeople......
Face it...Reagan screwed up in 1986 and his legacy went down with the Savings and Loan crisis in the minds of many Americans.....
bringing up the ghost of Reagan and W Bush does NO good,. but feeds the Obama maw .....
We need bright new and creative ideas that the press doesn’t hate, without compromising our basic values, wjile also bringing in Independents and some Democrats.....
The Bush tax cuts were NOT well targeted and were excessive for the time.......Republicans would do well to not cling to them, but improve on them....
