Pesky Wasilla Palin Rumors: Palin to Announce 2012 Candidacy at Reagan Library on HIS 100th B-Day!
FWIX Newswire ^ | July 2010

Posted on 08/09/2010 4:15:25 PM PDT by dselig

That's what I heard. Governor Palin will announce her candidacy for President in 2012 at the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Ronald Reagan's birth, on February 11th 6th, 2011. At his Library.

This is as close to testing the waters on playing with the idea I've found yet. The dream ticket for the GOP is now Palin-Huckabee. At least in Wasilla. BTW, it's just a rumor

There is something to be said for seeing liberals heads explode, though...

Palin wouldn’t pick Huckamoron, even if Hell really did freeze over.

She wouldn’t leak out her candidacy announcement by way of some stupid rumor mill.

Your source isn’t at all credible.

This is another good ‘flush’ thread.... flushes them right out to offer insane advice to Sarah.

Palin has about as much chance of picking that mean little example of walking sumbitchery as she has of digging up the body of Josef Mengele and running with him.

Aw, come on, don't hold back, tell us what you REALLY think! LOL!

What is it, exactly, that Huckabee brings to the table?

Fried squirrel?

I think for Palin to do that on Reagan’s birthday would be tacky..to upstage the day..bad form.

Exactly my first thought. I seriously doubt she does so.

As much as I like sarah, I don’t think she can hack it tbh. I still think thune/christie is our best bet.

“Romney, on the other hand, would burn the hair off of his legs to get the Veep nod after the primaries are over.”

Because of the backbitting/backstabbing Palin received at the hands of former Romney staffers, both during and after the McCain/Palin 2008 Presidential run, I would be surprised to see Palin choose Romney for the VP slot on her ticket. Were I her, I would have no confidence in his loyalty or trustworthyness. He wouldn’t even be on my list of VP hopefuls. I believe that would hold true for any other Presidential candidate also. Romney made his bed, let him sleep in it.

Palin is her own person and she likes surprises. Heck, for all we know she could announce her candidacy on some remote unpopulated Alaskan Island with her own personal camera crew. Or on some 50 watt(nighttime) AM radio station in Idaho.

I don’t think it will be conventional

With Sarah’s previous contacts at the library, this announcement would not surprise me at all. I would think she would also have Nacny Reagan’s blessing if this happens!

‘Some have suggested that Palin may be able to wait until fall ‘11 before declaring her candidacy.’

You mean like Fred Thompson in 2008? No thanks.

Thank you! Palin/Huck will not get my vote. There is no way in the world, under any circumstance, that I’ll ever vote for that criminal loving, Christian Socialist from Arkansas.

DeMint/Bachmann; DeMint/West; Sarah can continue to promote a conservative agenda...

That would be a very strong ticket IMO. I hadn’t thought of Bolton in the VP spot, but he would really help with the foreign affairs area. Sarah has certainly done more good for America doing what she is doing from the side lines than she would had she stayed governor of Alaska. “The adults would be (back) in charge” with this pair.

I disagree on Bolton. There’s no way that he’d regularly be considered for the national ticket and no reason that Palin has to apologize for her foreign affairs experience (a la Barbie, “Foreign affairs is hard!”) more than any other governor-turning-president. (E.g., W, Clinton, Reagan, Carter...) She doesn’t need her own FA specialist there on the ticket for her.
