Some Stanley Ann Dunham passport file documents are released. Passport office implies in cover letter earliest passport application no longer exists.
The earliest 1960/1961 passport application paper work information is missing from this released information. The record starts with a “RENEWAL” application filed in 1965 due her name change after marrying Lolo Soetoro at Molokai Hawaii on March 15, 1965 per page marked P3 of the released documents.
The carefully worded cover letter implies earlier years records have been purged for some reason. Since passport records are filed in files by name and not in boxes or files by year, this does not make sense. It sounds to me like HI officials (or whoever controls them) are now instructing the U.S. Passport Office how to obfuscate and parse sentences in cover letters to allow them to not provide what one asks for and yet not be lying.
There was obviously a passport issued to Stanley Ann (whatever name she used to get it) prior to 1965. I was under the impression that passport records kept and filed by name were kept virtually forever.

This file indicates via the 1965 renewal application that Stanley Ann (Dunham) Obama had a passport issued to her prior to 1965 and she was applying to RENEW it. Since a passport was good for 5 years that means she likely got her first passport in late 1960 of early 1961.
Why did she need a passport at age 18? She would not need it to have a baby in Hawaii or to go to college in Seattle Washington.
What was the real reason this pregnant teenager got a passport in late 1960 or early in 1961?
I believe it was likely to be able to travel to Kenya to have the baby over there where it was her intent to leave the baby there to be raised my the paternal family in Kenya. She was to then return to re-start her life as a young teenager going to college in Seattle Washington.
And then when Stanley Ann did not follow the plan because maternal instincts kicked in and she returned to college in Seattle WITH the new baby, grandma Dunham had to take action and filed the fraudulent action in Hawaii to falsely register the baby as born at home there with no witnesses to get her newborn grandson U.S. Citizenship ... because it was very easy to do this in Hawaii in 1961.

Although I admit that this scenario sounds very plausible, it's just speculation. She could have been planning to join the Peace Corps when she was 17. Maybe her parents took her to Europe. People get passports for their children just so they'll have them.

I do agree that it would have been easy to get the birth recorded and newspaper announcements run that indicate when BHO was born. Back then a phone call or letter from the mother would not have been questioned. And it was also customary for airlines to not allow late-term pregnant women to fly, so she would have had to stay until after he was born, then fly to Hawaii. Her parents had the wherewithal to provide plane tickets, make the report to the newspaper, get the certificate for home birth, etc. Can’t prove it but it makes logical sense.
I am going to differ with the information that there was definately a passport issued before 1965.(I believe there was) What is shown in the FOIA documents is a renewal for her previous passport issued July 19, 1965. The renewal was done on August 13, 1968 and renewed to July 18, 1970. Signature at bottom of page shows date of application of renewal and top right hand corner shows date pp renewed to.
She had her passport amended in 1967 to show her married name.
She entered the US on October 21, 1971 with and expired passport and was granted an exception to enter and required to pay $25 within 30 days. A notation on the bottom in red shows a bill was sent on 11/?9/71.
The fact that her prior application (s) are missing indicates to me not that they were destroyed but that they were removed. What are the odds that only her passport records before 1968 are missing but the ones afterwards are available? It took over a year and a half for State to release this info. WHY did htey have to come up with a plan to hide the truth? That coupled with the overwhelming problems in Hawaii leads me to believe something very wrong is in Obama’s background and being hidden from US. I don’t normally believe in conspiracies, but this is looking more and more like something is very wrong in our country and more than one person is playing hide the ball.
IMO A criminal investigation into her missing passport records is in order. For you Obots, do you believe they just went missing? No, it doesn't mean her first passport was issued when she was a pregnant teen. It MIGHT mean that, or she could have had a passport much earlier, as a child, and it expired, and only at that time did she ever renew it. If you aren't traveling internationally, there is nothing wrong with letting your passport expire, even for years. No one is required to own a passport.

I have long ago believed Obama’s mother went to Kenya to have a legal father for her baby because the father already was married(known) to a woman in Kenya and Hawaii would not recognize or sanction a bigamous marriage. I suspect mother did not take to African family authority and wanted out pronto. This scenario does raise the question of why did mom go get a divorce in Hawaii. Months ago I took off the web a story/document that said Obama’s mother was denied air travel by the Kenyan government a couple of days after the baby was born because the baby was to near birth for an air flight. All info coming together says BHO was born in Kenya. Our Nation is rife with traitors and scoundrals usurping our Constitution.

I think you have nailed it. It is my theory that Stanley Ann and Barack Obama Sr. went to Kenya to get Grandfather Obama’s blessing on the marriage. When that did not work, I believe Barack Obama Sr.’s father financed Stanley Ann’s airplane flight back to Seattle to get her as far away from his son as possible.
