As imagined by Ron Wadden, on the eve of the nuptials of Ms. Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky in Rhinebeck, N.Y.
MONDAY
It happened again today, while Marc and I were at Party Palace to pick up the folding chairs. A Rhinebeck yokel shouts: "HEY CHELSEA, MEZVINSKY RHYMES WITH LEWINSKY." It doesn't even make sense, but that hasn't stopped people from belting it out like it's the funniest thing since the Palin campaign. (Mom's even cracked it a couple of times herself, but only when Dad's nearby.) Marc doesn't seem bothered. He knows I'm not so shallow as to choose my life partner according to some checklist of random details. Being the offspring of former elected Democrats is enough for me. Oh and rich, that helps. And never beating Dad at golf. And promising never to run for office against Mom. That's good enough for me. And understanding that I'll keep my surname. That too. That's a big one. (Chelsea Mezvinsky? Can you imagine?)
TUESDAY
I didn't think we'd ever get the guest list finalized. The first invitations went out a couple of months ago to 30 of our dearest friends for an intimate wedding in a charming little venue. Then the parents got involved. One thing's for sure: When a former president, the current Secretary of State and two former members of Congress get involved, the bureaucracy expands like Dad's waistline at an Arkansas buffet. Before we knew it, we'd invited 500 of our dearest friends/colleagues/relatives/ strategists/donors/spokespeople/pollsters/spin doctors/damage-control experts/bodyguards. It didn't stop until I said the magic word: Obama. If only I'd thought of it sooner.(continued)

That was a thing of beauty
After seeing Chelsea and her fiance together, the best advice that anyone could give them is, “Don’t Breed”.
I wonder if she’s sad her real dad (webb hubbell) isn’t here to see it.
Mebbe.
But she sure as hell ain't.
canhedothat????
