House GOP Forces Vote on Repealing 1099 Obama Paperwork Tax on Small Biz (Where Are Your Papers?)
ATR ^ | 7/29/10 | Ryan Ellis

...One of the over two dozen tax hikes in Obamacare, this provision would require that every small business in America issue a 1099-MISC to any person or company it pays an aggregate $600 or more over the course of the year. That would loop in every restaurant, airline, supplier, office supply store, etc. The number of forms that would be generated is staggering. Even the IRS says they can't handle the flood of paper-filed 1099s that will come in.

If President Obama and Congressional Democrats really want to help small business owners, one big step in the right direction would be to strip out this bone-headed and onerous paperwork tax on entrepreneurs...

“If President Obama and Congressional Democrats really want to help small business owners,..”

Now, that’s funny - they do NOT want to help small business owners. They only want to help themselves and their communist friends.

The content of Obamacare is irrelevant. It is unconstitutional on its face since Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution does not specifically list regulating health care as an enumerated power. The people are not bound to comply with an unconstitutional act. It is incumbent upon Americans to defend the Constitution by openly defying this marxist regime.

This is a full employment act for the USPS and the IRS.

This should get a unanimous vote. I would be very interested in the reasoning behind the decision by ANY representative for voting against it.

What is really amazing is the logic behind this ridiculous
regulation in the first place.

In order to sell it, Health Care had to be “revenue neutral”.

The Congress, or whoever, came out of the blue with the figure that if income reporting was tightened up, companies all of a sudden over the critical first ten years would report more income. So the lawmaking body whose Chairman of the Tax-writing Committee cheats on his taxes assumes Americans are all liars.

They figured the increased reporting would lead to 17.1 BILLION dollars of increased revenues through previously unreported income over the critical first ten years. Where they pulled that number out I don't know.Talk about smoke and mirrors.

It just boggles the mind that these idiots are in charge.

Ooohhh good point. I was wondering what the purpose of this paperwork nightmare was. Sounds like a way to track those working for cash (citizens that is) while at the same time tracking every businesses income & expenses and making sure they pay "their fair share" of income taxes. Also, as you said, laying the foundations for the coming VAT.

$600 is a very small amount, but it will be a much larger amount if the marxists have their way and cause prices to increase rapidly and out of control (inflation).
Then $600 will be the price of a printer cartridge, and the number of “1099”s will be astronomical.

BTW they haven’t increased the $600 (intentionally) for inflation, so that it would cover more and more people.

They really want to destroy this country.

Ooo! Ooo!

What business owners across America should do is buy tens of thousands of dollars of goods/services from vendors and, at the end of the year, file for banruptcy!!

Let zero and the IRS figure out how to deal with that!

Funny how a judge says that legal immigrants are “over-burdened” by having to show their passport (even though they carry them everywhere, just as you and I carry our passport with visa everywhere we go when we are abroad)... but businesses see no end to the loss of hundreds, if not thousands, of manhours required via forced paperwork from monstrosities like Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.

**** “In order to sell it, Health Care had to be “revenue neutral” *****

WRONG!!!!!

They had to Vote on it without “Reading the Bill” so now they have the “I didn’t Know” defense and for that they need to be treated as the Lying Crooks and Criminals that they are and what they are is no different than what Mussolini was... each and everyone is a Wanna be Tyrant (best case for them is plead “Ignorant wanna be Tyrant” and beg for mercy)

Sorry I get pretty exercised that my Country is being taken for a ride “AND THEY DID”NT EVEN READ F$#@@#%$^%$NG BILL!!”

Sometimes the best way to get rid of a stupid policy is to comply with it. I don't mind sending the IRS a truckload of paper documents for them to type in.
