The tape does NOT show people applauding the early comments. It shows them agreeing with and acknowledging the part where she says that her heart was changed by God, that it’s not about black or white, but poor people needing help against the powerful.
It was about Sherrod from the get-go - “The black racist Obama government appointee.” THEN it changed to the “reaction of the NAACP.” Of course, the reaction of the NAACP is a LOT different if you look at it over the full course of the speech.
You seem to be just regurgitating what someone you trust told you - NOT what you have decided yourself after watching the whole video with an open mind. I hope that I am wrong about that. Could you please point out the time signature where they “applaud and cheer” racism?

Complex speach understood to convey a lot to various audiences — the original audience took it one way and viewers now, expecting worse, take it another.
Taken as a whole, if I had sat through it, would I have given her a job of general responsibility in an Executive Branch — of course not. Her focus is on a litany of special leftist agenda items — if not racial, then class struggle. She has no relationship to our Constitutional structured goals for the Federal Government.

The only difference is that the folks with money want to stay in power and whether it's health care or whatever it is, they'll do what they need to do to keep that power, you know. You know, I haven't seen such a mean-spirited people as I've seen lately over this issue of health care. Some of the racism we thought was buried. Didn't it surface? Now, we endured eight years of the Bush's and we didn't do the stuff these Republicans are doing because you have a black President.

You're quoting Breitbart's spin, after-the-fact spin? The story as posted speaks for itself. It made NO MENTION of the crowd reaction. The story was written exclusively about this "racist" speech.
Listen, if you choose to be intellectual obtuse, that's certainly your prerogative. BUT, you're not entitled to your own facts. This speech that was excerpted by Breitbart is not racists, it's religious. The woman talks at some length about the redemptive power of salvation. And it explicitly implores people to NOT judge people on their race, but on their circumstances.
You're either too lazy to read the whole speech, or to intellectual dishonest to admit Brietbart's wrong. Either way, it's not becoming of someone who claims to be conservative.

As if the free houses for people who could not pay was such a grand success, then free farms for the same people will blow you away.
The USDA, according the Sherrod has just your ticket, free money no interest loans for minorities that want to own farms. Come to think of it, isn't this why Rhodesia went from the breadbasket of Africa to the Zimbabwe who is now starving? Owning the farm doesn't make you a farmer, and proof positive socialism is a bust..
They had to send me extra help from Washington to try to help because of the Stimulus money, because we have more money, direct loans, for low income and moderate income families and guess what – those loans are 100% loans – you can buy the land – and build a house – 100% loans – no private mortgage insurance – those loans are directly from USDA.

This clip misleads as to the focus of she was trying to share. Overall, given other statements and subsequent remarks, I believe the woman has several issues. However, the point is that anyone watching the clip would naturally focus on HER and what she says in the clip.
Breitbart should have been VERY clear about what he was trying to do with the presentation of the clip...that it wasn’t about HER....but about the reaction of the NAACP audience
However, I want conservative to be above reproach in this type of thing....particularly if they are in the business of communication (journalism).

IMO, after reading the entire text of the speech and viewing the video, the woman is a racist and partisan hack. She accuses Republicans of being racist and mean spirited because they oppose Obamacare. And it appears the NAACP edited the full speech because of an unexplained gap--[audio/video interrupted at source, duration unknown]
