The tape does NOT show people applauding the early comments. It shows them agreeing with and acknowledging the part where she says that her heart was changed by God, that it’s not about black or white, but poor people needing help against the powerful.
It was about Sherrod from the get-go - “The black racist Obama government appointee.” THEN it changed to the “reaction of the NAACP.” Of course, the reaction of the NAACP is a LOT different if you look at it over the full course of the speech.
You seem to be just regurgitating what someone you trust told you - NOT what you have decided yourself after watching the whole video with an open mind. I hope that I am wrong about that. Could you please point out the time signature where they “applaud and cheer” racism?
