Breitbart wasn't in the wrong. The NAACP had the complete tape of her speech--all 43 or more minutes of it. They could have easily refuted the excerpts if they wanted. Instead they condemned her, and Obama and the Department of Agriculture fired her. So who is guilty of jumping to conclusions?

IMO, after reading the entire text of the speech and viewing the video, the woman is a racist and partisan hack. She accuses Republicans of being racist and mean spirited because they oppose Obamacare. And it appears the NAACP edited the full speech because of an unexplained gap--[audio/video interrupted at source, duration unknown]

Breitbart wasn't in the wrong.

Breitbart was in the wrong. He got an excerpt and went to town with it. And he turned out to be catastrophically wrong.

Leave aside all of the undoubted errors of Ms. Sherrod's ways -- the question for Breitbart is still the same: did he take something out of context? Yes, he did.

Now Ms. Sherrod is a martyr ... and Breitbart is the guy who threw the torch that started the fire that burned her at the stake.

Ahhhh, but he's "conservative," so maybe honesty is not required? Isn't that a leftist sort of argument?

All of them. Breitbart is just as much in the wrong as DoA, the NAACP, and the WH -- all of them jumped to a wrong conclusion.

But somehow you're determined to give Breitbart a pass. You called it a "straw man" when I suggested that Breitbart's conservatism merited a pass from you. But your on-going defense of a rancid bit of character assassination by Breitbart tells me that it's not really a strawman at all.
